The WB (ended 2003)
Here are my mini-reviews for this past week's episodes:
Buffy 6X13 Dead Things--Overall, I'm not sure whether I liked it or not. I didn't mind Spike and Buffy getting together, the way some people do. My issue is why can't Buffy just have some fun and not stress out about it too much? Spike is not so bad if you trust him and treat him well. He's not as evil as he'd have everyone believe. I hated Warren killing Katrina, and then worse, blaming Buffy. The whole season changes here, as the Trio become really evil, and not just amusing pains in the butt. Question: Why was Katrina so hot in this season, compared to when we first see her in S5? The hot S6 Katrina would never have gone out with warren.
Buffy 6X14 Older and Far Away--Nothing special for me here. Did love the fact that Halfek recognizes Spike, a little reminder of William and Cecily from "Foo for Love." Other than that, Dawn was typically annoying.
Angel 3X13 Waiting in the Wings--Absolutely the best of the week. "The Phantom of the Ballet?" I enjoyed the excitement leading up to the ballet and the rivalry between Wesley and Gunn. LOVED the room with the spell, and how Angel and Cordelia go back in there, knowing how it will make them act. Great sexy scenes between the two of them. I liked the idea of the spell the guy put on the dancer because he loved her so much. Overall I thought it was a creative and well-written episode and extremely entertaining. And did I mention hot? I never thought I would go along with the idea of Angel and Cordelia, but this episode completley changed my mind on that point.
Angel 3X14 Couplet--Mainly a character development episode. Gunn pairs off with Fred and Groo comes to Earth for Cordelia. Poor Wesley and Angel are left out. The tree monster was lame, but then again the focus was on the love stories. Liked the idea of Angel being so noble as to get the potion for Cordy and Groo. Great scenes in the demon brothel. Groo is such a sweety it's hard to really hate him, but I wished he didn't get in the way between Angel and Cordelia.
Buffy 6X13 Dead Things-
This is one of those episodes that really grows on you the more you watch it. It really is a turning point as we see Warren begin to show his true colors and we also see that Jonathon is becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the direction the trio is taking.
Buffy 6X14 Older and Far Away-
This episode is pretty funny. I loved the scenes between Spike and Tara. It's like I can almost hear Spike thinking..."Does Tara know about me and Buffy?" The one thing I have to say though is that this episode is a prime example of why I hated Dawn this season, with her whole GET OUT! GET OUT! GET OUT! thing.
Angel 3X13 Waiting in the Wings-
This episode is an excellent play on the whole role reversal theme. Wesley loves Fred, but Fred loves Gunn. Cordelia tells Fred "He'll love it." referring to Wesley, but Fred thinks she's talking about Gunn.
Angel 3X14 Couplet-
The best part about this episode was Cordelia and her "losing her visionity"! That scene is absolutely hilarious!

| Freud would probably have a field day analyzing this, but there are two 'Verse episodes I cannot watch all the way through. One is when Buffy gets thrown out of her house. The other is "Sleep Tight." I've tried on numerous occasions to sit through them both, but they make me too uncomfortable |
"As You Were" is my least favorite Buffy ep.
That scene in "Forgiveness" in the hospital always made me wonder if Angel's heart was really in it. Wes was pretty much weak as a kitten and hardly in a position to fight back.
