    Hello,

The other day I was chatting with some friends about Buffy and we agreed that there's not really a "saddest-moment-ever" in Buffy. Instead, we belive that there's more a sad series of episodes when Angel leaves to LA and Buffy cannot find her place in the World.

Maybe Tara's death in season 6?

    What do you think?

    Cheers,

    Aitor

I think the only truly sad moment was the series ending.

Joyce, Buffy, Anya and Tara dying was truly sad. Also Xander & Anya's Marriage and when Buffy sent Angel to hell.

I'd have to say when Spike was putting it to Buffy behind the Double Meat Palace. I lost all respect for her in that one scene.

I'd say the saddest episodes were Becoming (2), Hell's Bells, and most of all, The Body

There are a bunch of sad moments, when Jenny, Tara, Joyce, Angel, Spike, Buffy, Anya, and pretty much any main characters death were great sad moments. One of my favorite sad moments is the end to Becoming part 1.

Well the end of part two was sad too but I already mentioned that with the death of Angel. The end of part 1 is great, Buffy just realised that it was a trap and shes running back and finds Kendra dead and everything and then the cop points the gun at her I just love it its sad, exciting, and really makes me wanna watch part 2.

There's too many to find just one saddest, but my saddests would be The Body, Bargaining 2, The Gift, Chosen and Seeing Red.

But there's heaps and heaps of others though.

There have been heaps of polls on the internet asking this exact question. While there is no doubt that there are tons of moments that different people beleive are THE saddest, it is ALWAYS two moments that are neck in neck with each other for votes, and are always miles ahead of every other moment. Number one and number two, but not always in this order are ALWAYS Buffy sending Angel to hell in Becoming (2) and Buffy sacrificing herself in The Gift.

I didn't find Buffy sacraficing herself in The Gift that sad, neither when she killed Angel. I might sound heartless its just beacuse it was so expected and the idea of a lover killing her lover is sort of overused nowadays. One very sad moment for me though was Graduation Day part two when Buffy kisses Faith on the forehead and she's all beat up. Also in the dream where Faith and Buffy were talking. I dont know, but it was just sad for me and seeing how tempted Faith was to evil.
