Buffy throwing herself off the tower in dawn's place did actually make me cry!
Overall one of the saddest moments though I think was when Buffy admitted that she had been in heaven, not hell.

The Body is the most depressing hour of televions ever. I recently lost my mom to a brain tumor, and I can't believe how true to life that episode really is.

the saddest moment for me was when Riley left. no one else seems to think so though.
The whole episode of the body was sad though, I know how it feels to lose someone.

I love Riley and that end scene where Buffy runs is very emotional. but saddest?

joyce and tara's death, i thought were pretty sad. but buffy sacrificing herself to save the world and her sisters life was sad, mostly because of the speech she gave dawn.
xander and anya's failed wedding was also sad.

I still say the saddest moment was the final episode when we knew there wasn't going to be any more episodes.

I thought the saddest episode was Buffy having to kill Angel in Becoming, Part 2. I was also really sad at the end of Chosen, because I knew there would be no more Buffy to watch.

I think that saddest episode was Becoming pt.1 too! That, and The Body. That has me bawling with towers of paper towels! I'm serious. The whole premise of the show is sad to me. Buffy coming to terms with her destiny is a really dreadful topic but it's amazing to me though how she evolves.

I agree with that. Along with everyone dying. Especially Joyce. She was one of my favorite characters. When Willow and Tara breakup and Michelle Branch singing "Goodbye to You". Ugh. Heartbreak. That is now my emoneedagoodcry song.

Part 1?! I hope that was a typo, otherwise it doesn't make sense for you to be agreeing with someone saying part 2...

Ok I almost never cry when it comes to TV because I know its just acting but there are 2 moments in Buffy where I had a tear go down my cheak.

NO#1 When Joyce dies and Anya has that speach about punch and why Joyce will never have punch again and that is really sad to me.

NO#2 After Anya died in Chosen and the fact that it was then end was realy sad and that 7 years of buffy and this was the very last episode.

CWDP was a sad episode, mostly because of Jonathan's death, and a little because of Willow and how sad she was over Tara, but to me a really sad part in that episode, which almost no one ever mentions, is when Buffy dusts Holden. She had been sad before in anticipation of it, what with Holden being an old classmate of hers and helping her with her problems and everything

Holden: Hey, I don't mean to be Count Buttinsky here, but you just don't seem as thrilled. Is it because we're gonna fight?

Buffy: It's 'cause I'm gonna win

    Holden being dusted was sad
But Jonathan's death was definitely very sad!
