Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Where did you first see BtVS actors?

Did you ever notice the actors before they did BtVS? I do remember SMG from that Burger King commercial, and I saw her in a TV movie with Varlerie Harper, and of course I really began to notice her acting as Kendal on "All My Children." I first noticed ASH on those "Taster's Choice" coffee commercials (although I never saw how they turned out--did ASH's character finally get together with that woman?) and of course I saw him more in the FOX sci-fi series "VR-5" with Lori Singer. I didn't know Nick Brendon before BtVS, but I don't think he did much before then, did he? I do remember David Boreanaz's stint on "Married With Children." I didn't know of Aly Hannigan or Seth Green before BtVS, even though like SMG they had been acting for years. If I did see them I don't remember them. I hadn't seen Emma Caufield either, even though I used to watch "Beverly Hills 90210"--I had stopped watching it just before she was on that show. I hadn't seen James Marsters before BtVS either, although again I'm sure he was around awhile before that. Joan Sutherland was a familiar face to me, although I can't tell you what I saw her in before BtVS, which I guess is true for most character actors. I did remember Charisma Carpenter from "Malibu Shores," although I only watched a few episodes of that show. I first saw Eliza Dushku in "True Lies," of course. Amber Benson, and all the other minor characters, I first saw only on BtVS.

we don't get all the american shows here, so buffy was the first show i saw most of them. except for sarah michelle gellar. i'm not 100% sure, but there was this show called swan's crossing (?) and i'm sure i saw her in that.

I was much too young to remember them in anything else. Except for Eliza, who I remembered from True Lies.

I never saw any of them before Buffy. My pre-Buffy TV experiences are limited, and I didn't see too many movies, either. I pretty much never saw good TV until I got into Buffy, because a girl I liked loved it. Then I became obsessed, got on this forum, and through people here have gotten into Angel, Firefly, Tru Calling, Wonderfalls, Lost, Heroes, etc.

Yeah, she was in that soap opera--it was a short lived show though. Although I'm sure that experience got her the part of Kendal in the much longer lived soap "All My Children."

I knew all the characters on Buffy the vampire slayer first but I saw Sarah Michelle Gellar on I know what you did last summer before I started watching Buffy the vampire slayer.

I only started watching Buffy and Angel a couple of years ago. So I'd seen Alyson on American Pie, Seth Green on Auten Powers, Eliza on Bring it On, I can't remember if I watched Scooby Doo before or after Buffy, probably before. Also I can't remember if I watched all of Scream 2 the first time I watched it. If I did I would have seen her in that. I saw Mercedes on the Addams Family. I can't remember if I watched I know What You Did Last Summer or not. Might have, but it was years ago. Way after it came out though. I was just a kid when Buffy was originally on TV. I don't think I'd even heard of it or not, until I found the 1st series on video in my cupboard. Not sure exactly how it got there.Watched it and loved the show.

yeah seth was allison hannigans date in stepmother my mom loved that movie and i seen it a lot

i think they were the only ones i had seen before the show started oh and Marc Blucas in Eddie lol
