  • Buffy Summers is the 'chosen one'. The only one in the world who can stop all the evil. Along the way she has to deal with other typical teenage issues: friends, parents, school and of course love.

I didn't really get into Buffy until years after it had finished, but was glad that I did. I enjoyed it so much that I bought the first four season without even stopping to think! Am still trying to find time to get through the seventh and final season.

I'm not really sure why I enjoy the show so much..... I think, like a lot of my favourite shows, it is because although there are some seriously great plot-lines, essentially the show is all about the characters and their development. I love shows that let you really get to be involved with its characters, delving into every aspect of them- it makes you feel as if you are really getting to know the people that you are watching. It makes for very compelling viewing!

I also enjoy that even though a lot of the time the story lines are deep, dark and sometimes complicated, Joss Whedon still manages to inject humour into the show, without it seeming inappropriate. And of course, one of the biggest drawcards of the programme is that it has (at least in my opinion) one of the most epic love stories to embrace TV- Buffy and Angel. The Romeo/Juliet aspect to their relationship somehow appeals to me, and always leaves me wanting them to get together. When a show can send someome to tears (and Buffy has done so) then I think it's a sign of a great show.
  • The best vampire slayer ever.

I really mis this show. It was one of the first shows I recall seeing where the main charactor was a girl wjo saved others and didn't constantly need the saving. She was an awsome fighter and I really hope this show makes a comeback one day. TV shows now don't have many female main charators anymore. There are a couple but none I think as good as buffy was. The charactors were all interesting and made the stories very exciting to watch. The special affects were cool to and always scared me from time to time. I still loved watching it even though thing could get very bloody at times. =)
  • Still sorely missed even after nearly five years!

Buffy the vampire slayer is a classic. It showed us a small, slight blonde girl who could kick some serious demon/vampire ass, while she was experiencing the love, loss and general life of any sixteen year old girl. Joss Whedon hit the nail on the head with this occult classic and kept many viewers enthralled to the very end. Whether you rooted for Spike and Buffy or Buffy and Angel, in the series finale both ships were satisified, and it looks like, ultimately we will know never no who Buffy will end up with.

This is a show I can watch time and time again and not get bored.

    A must see.
  • Oh how I wish watching this show, it was absolutely incredible

I have at least 100 words to talk about the show; I only need 2, utterly brilliant! However as I have more words I shall use them. I really enjoyed this show and when it ended it was the ending of an era. From the gentlemen to the singing episode the plots and dialogue was simply wonderful. Though the special affects had somewhat to be desired on some occasions they did the job and the characters pulled it off nonetheless. I still enjoy watching the episodes again and they are as good now as when I first watched them. It would be amazing if they did a straight to DVD movie like SG1 has done, but I can't seriously see them doing that when so much time has passed. So I will have to be contempt with watching the episodes again. The only hope of revitalising a part of the series lies with 'Ripper', but having personally asked Anthony Head about it, it doesn't look like it will happen now. The story is supposed to be about him when he was younger, difficult when he is now older, but we can only hope, it might still happen. So for now I bow down to what was a fantastically energetic and entertaining show that I thoroughly enjoyed.
  • My favorite show, The first TV show in the Top Ten of my list.

This is the best TV show, and of course the best TV show The WB makes.

Buffy, Xander, Willow and Giles, star the adventure of the Vampire slayer, the first day in Sunnydale Buffy knows some people, people who were renumbered her companions throughout the series (Seven Seasons).

The best season is the season five, with the devil Glory. Then in order of preferences seasons 2,3,7,1,6,4. The worst is the season 4.

Many characters appear in this show, the principal cast Buffy, Xander, Willow and Giles, then appear Dawn (Buffy young sister), Angel, Spike, Cordelia, Anya, Tara, Riley, etc... Some characters are very nice and funny, like Anya, some others, for example, Riley, are the worst characters ever made to TV.

There are some very good episodes, Hush (Season 4) for example.
  • A great show that's as close to my heart as show can get. It has it all. Humour, excitement, sadness etc.

This show is close to my heart. It has all you ever need in a show. Its comical moments, sad moments, adventurous moments, romantic moments and so on.

I began to watch this show very late actually. It was the end of season 4 and I didn't even watch every episode back then either. I had seen some occasional episodes some seasons back but didn't really got to appreciate it as much then. It took me a whole season to get into the show but when I finally did I got hooked and never wanted to quit - ever! What really got me hooked on the show was mainly the humour with the show. What made the show perfect was when this vampire 'Spike' entered the show. He took it to a whole new level of humour.

The main cast, they did a brilliant job. I liked every one of them, Spike, Buffy, Xander, Rupert, Willow, and watching them all develop was really exciting.

I really recommend to watch this show, from the beginning and get to know them all from the beginning to the very end. Credits to the writers too of course, they did a great job and the show got better and better for each season.
  • My favorite show of all time. I really do miss it.

This is my favorite show of all time. There is something about the characters and writing that kept it a step above every other show. I hope that someday there will be another spinoff. I loved the characters especially Spike, Angel, and Buffy. I was hoping they would do a Spike spinoff after Sarah didn't want to continue with the show. I have all seven seasons on DVD so I'll get to watch it any time I want. By the end I wanted Buffy to end up with Spike. I guess we will never know who she ends up with or if she finds out Spike is still alive.
  • This is the best tv show ever created! i wished it'd never end.

buffy the vampire slayer is a show about a girl chosen to fight evil all around the world. and of course there are the slayerettes and the watcher, who constantly helped buffy throught the show. it has everything. drama, at some episode you can see the drama as relationship problems, friendship problems, family problems and death ocurres. comedy, there are many characters in the show that have a great sense of humour. action, when buffy deafeated evil, there is always action. also, you can see the gang go on adventeres to help buffy. horror, there are a lot of episodes that are quite scary. each season has a big bad where she will face at the end of the season. it is usually the most exciting part.
  • it's an amazing show and if you watch it over and over again,it would still be very enjoyable.

it has so much in it i can't quite remember.maybe why i like iy so much is because there's fantasy, comedy, horor, romance and what other more?i recently started watching it and i love it.this show started from the 90's but till now even if it's not as popular as before,it's still popular.i spend pretty much all my free time watching buffy from the DVD and it's still in my head.i guess what i a lot in buffy the vampire slayer is they're sarcasm.and what i like most is that all the characters have soo much personality.though at the last season,a few of them started to act not as they normally do and willow seem to be loosing personality as well.with they're big secrets they still carry on life as usual,at least they try to,which is also amazing and with the drama and all.it's just such an amazing mix.to me,it's the bets show ever.
  • An amazing show that can be watched over and over again.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is a classic. From the excellent storylines season after season, to the amazing characters and actors associated with the show.

Sarah Michelle Gellar did an amazing job as Buffy Summers (if thats the correct spelling) and Alyson Hannigan and Nicholas Brendan were excellent as her friends. And not to forget, this is the show that made David Boreanaz. I'm very thankful for that - Bones!! :D

Every character had amazing lines, the show had lot of different stories and seasons that got better every time. I can honestly not think of a bad thing to say about it.

    Just -- Brilliant!

buffy is an amazing vmapire/zombie/warewolf/evil ass kicking slayer who knows all the right places to hit. she always semms to be in the right place at the right time and ready to do her thing. 10 out of 10 for her and the gang, it it wasnt for her we wouldnt have a horror comedy that we have today known as buffy the vampire slayer. i can never get bored of it as you never know what will happen next. well done to the producers for a great show that will be liked for time to come and talked about.
  • Buffy was a great show a perfect mix between horror comedy and drama. And that's difficult to accomplish. I especially liked sara michelle gellar as buffy. But also the rest of the cast was great. Giles the watcher, and friends Willow and xander.

Buffy was a great show a perfect mix between horror comedy and drama. And that's difficult to accomplish. I especially liked sara michelle gellar as buffy. But also the rest of the cast was great. Giles the watcher, and friends Willow and xander. The first seasons were absolutely the best with Buffy first defeating the master. and every season a new enemy to fight. The best show in a long while in my opinion. In the later seasons the show was getting a litle bit predictable, also the plots were becoming strange like Dawn buffy 's new sister. Overall a very good show

I started watching BtVS in the middle of the second and soon thereafter became a huge fan. Joss Whedon does a fantastic job creating mythology and bringing together action, drama, and romance into one show. The show did have some storylines that weren't all that great and most of them occurred in the 4th season.

BtVS offered some great characters that you love and hate, and loved to hate. Throughout the seven seasons there was good character development and under used characters were given very good storylines. The stunts of the show were very well done, even though in some episodes it was pretty obvious that a stunt double was episode. This was especially true in the second season finale. I like that mythology of the slayer was that she was supposed to carry her secret by herself, but yet Buffy had her Scooby gang to help her out. The relationships between the characters were very intense, and I liked how the Buffy/Angel relationship was doomed from the very beginning, but yet it was also the ultimate love.

One of the best shows I've ever watched!

Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as Buffy Summers, The Chosen One, the one girl in all the world with the strength and skill to fight the vampires. With the help of her close friends, Willow (Alyson Hannigan ), Xander (Nicholas Brendon), and Rupert Giles her watcher (Anthony Stewart Head) they are known as the Scoobies. Over 7 years they prevent 8 apocolypeses and they still stand tall, even though they die, get major injuries, lose loved ones, even killed their love ones but still they triumph. They each posses their own special powers; Buffy- Slayer; strength, agility, speed, prophetic dreams etc. Xander- The one who sees all; he may not posses any actual powers but he sees everything but it matures over time. Willow- the witch/godess; extreme magic powers. Rupert 'Riper' Giles- the watcher; he reads/speaks many languages and also has a little magic powers and strength.

Along the way they meet many new friends; Angel(vampire), Oz(Warewolf), Spike(vampire), Kendra(2nd slayer), Faith(3rd slayer), Tara(witch), Anya(1000 YO ex-vegence demon) & Dawn(ex-key to destroy the world).

BUT they also meet enimies with challenge their existence; The master, Spike, Drusilla & Angelus, The Mayor, Adam & the Initiative, Glory, Evil Willow & The first.

Overall this show is one to truly be watched by all.

No series is perfect. They all fall prey to bad episodes/storylines, new characters that quickly lose their usefulness once their original purpose is fulfilled (Riley) or loss of core characters (Angel, Cordy). Buffy was no different. What made it so extrordinary however was the fact that when it did fall prey to these things, it bounced back.

Season One, even though it was perfect & couldn't have been better, wasn't even the best which told you a lot about BTVS. It set the tone & explained the rules perfectly & The Master was a great villian. Season Two raised the bar so high however, introducing Spike & Dru while turning Angelius into the perfect villian, Buffy never reached that level again. Season Three was about change and, true to life, change was an uncomfortable experience. I thought it peaked with "Lovers Walk" & was uneven the rest of the way. The Mayor, while interesting, didn't keep me on edge like most of the Big Bads & I was sad to see Xander & Cordy break-up. The last three episodes were great though, especially "The Prom". Season Four seemed to be more even keel & was interesting with the supernatural vs science theme but it lacked the energy that infused the first 3 seasons. The addition of Spike & Tara was great for the show & Adam was a cool villian.

Season Five saw BTVS back in top form almost from the opening bell & the energy return. The 'big picture' feel was back too with the mystery of Dawn & Glory. Spike became the character a lot of fans wanted him to be & Anya seemed more at home. "The Gift" was my favorite finale. Season Six showed signs of being BTVS's most intense season ever with Buffy's return & her relationship with Spike & Willow's addiction. From "Doublemeat Palace" onward however, it went downhill. The Trio quickly became a liability & the manifestation of Willow's addiction could've been handled better (I liked Tara). Season Seven was massive in scope & intense. The First was the perfect Big Bad for the finale; pure evil, pure genius, pure power. I loved The Potentials & the end of The Council. And the ending was pure Joss Whedon genius. God, I miss this show.

Buffy the Vamprie Slayer has just had its 10 year reunion and i will always remember when the show first aired. I always used to watch it when i was little because i am a horror fan and back then, buffy was really scary to me. And after it ended, it was never on anymore and i forgot about it. But it came back and i now i have in my possession the complete collection of Buffy on DVD. After going through the series again, i found that this show is excellent. It was good that none of the characters that are introduced on the show were ever re casted through the series, they just kept coming back. I seriously hope that they make a movie out of this series, even though they have before this series aired on tv, i hope they make it with the buffy cast from the show. Best Show Ever!!!

One of the best shows I've ever watched. Started it's generation of supernatural shows, including Charmed and Angel. Not my favorite out of TheWB supernatural shows, but definately one of the best. One Girl in all the world has to battle vampires, demons and the forces of darkness..she is the slayer. Normally slayers work alone and only alone, but everything changed when Buffy Summers' time arrives. She has friends known as the scobby gang who help her out in her battles. A slayer, a witch, a vampire with a soul, another vampire with a chip/soul, a human, a key, another witch, a watcher, an ex-demon, all come to help buffy in her deepest battles with evil. way to go Joss Whedon! Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a great series. (Good writers also help!)
  • A really good show that only occasionally sagged due to the length of the run. Overall, a very well made show that could appeal even if sci-fi/fantasy isn't usually your cup of tea.

    8.0
    "Great"
Speaking from a UK perspective, Buffy was a hurricane of fresh air when it hit our screens in 1998. The 1992 movie had introduced the concept of the teen slayer but didn't have the scope to really explore it. The series however, did.

The strong concept and consistently good writing allowed Buffy a very fruitful six year run, with only the occasional hiccup expected from a long running series.

The sense of style, excellent cinematography and quality performances also meant that Buffy scored in other areas that many series' compromise or neglect.

For a good all-round performer, I would recommend Buffy even if sci-fi/fantasy isn't necessarily your bag.
  • The chosen one Buffy Summers kicks major butt against the army of vampires and other supernatural monsters. Way better than that dumb movie version with Luke Perry.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the greatest sci-fi shows ever. I started watching halfway through season 2 but it was awesome. Buffy and the scooby gang as they were called slayed many vampires and other strange monsters that came from the Hellmouth which was under the school. I always wanted to be one of the students at the school possibly one of the Scooby gang so i could help. Its sad that the show ended too soon with season 7 i believe it could have gone on for another season with more of Buffy and the next generation of slayers fighting around the world defeating evil. Bring it back someday....

A tiny blond girl that can kick vampire ass? Come on that's brilliant. I think the Buffyverse that Joss Whedon created was one of a kind. I don't think that there's gonna be a show that is creative, has supernatural elements but still feels realistic, has great drama and can be really funny (people always look at me weird when I say that this show has a great sense of humor). The special effects were always amazing, those vampires always looked so real. It also has a great spin-off named Angel, not a lot of shows can create good spin-offs. So if you've never seen this show I recommend it because you're missing out on something great.
  • Buffy was an awesome show with great storylines and fantastic characters - bring it back!

One girl is chosen in all the world, given the strength and skill to hunt the vampires, demons and the forces of darkness. She is the slayer. And that slayer is Buffy, a normal teenage girl. This show is great. It's got deeply crafted storylines and well-rounded characters. Buffy and Angel are a great couple, one of my favourites on TV and they should have stayed together. Buffy and Riley & Buffy and Spike just don't have the same chemistry.

Xander and Anya are a good couple to. I prefer him with Anya than Cordelia because they have more chemistry and I just love Anya's personality. She's one of my favourite characters on the show and she provides good comical relief. Willow and Tara are a good couple, but I loved Oz too so it's hard for me to accept them as a couple. I loved their connection though magic and it really makes me see how much people can grow from being the high school nerd to being something else. I think Willow's discovery of witchcraft gave her being or her life some meaning, and although she abused that gift she posessed, I think and it made her a more adult person and helped her realised the full extent on power and the abuse of power.

Spike's a strange character. I think he should have stayed evil, but then they should have just killed him off then. I liked the way he was evil - he was very blunt and clear on his intentions and I was surprised as anybody when he didn't want to destroy the world because he liked the world. But then it could be argued he hated Angel and wanted Drusilla back at all costs (which is probably why he betrayed Buffy). James Masters is a talented actor and his protrayal of Spike is funny and believable - I can't imagine anyone else playing Spike. I wasn't too fond of Cordelia or Dawn. Cordelia just seemed like a typical stuck-up girl and I don't think a girl like her would go for a guy like Xander. But when she did, I saw how much she grew as a person, but as soon as Xander cheats on her, she reverts back to her former self. She had every right to be mad at Xander, but I don't understand how she could go from being more caring and considerate to stuck-up, superfical and nasty. I don't like Dawn because she's whinny and she doesn't bring anything to the show. The storyline with Glory was really good, but I don't like how they added Dawn and I don't like her at all.

This show, despite some unlikable characters had depth and complexity. It was able to do what many shows are still unable to do and draw in it's fans from beginning to end. The fact it's still regarded as a very popular show, despite ending years ago, really shows the positive effect Buffy the Vampire Slayer had on TV audiences everywhere! This show deserves a 10/10 for just being an awesome show!
  • A entertaining way of looking into vampires!!

I remember watching this show on tv when I was younger, but I never watched it fully until less than a year ago when I decided to watch it completely. I must say that it was surprisingly addictive. Specially until the fifth season. After I think it lost partly the charm of before. With the absence of Angel and with this new character as Buffy's boyfriend, it lost appeal and, personally, I think her boyfriend was simply boring and nha nha.... Like we say here, something without salt...

Apart from that it's a little lame sometimes, but the fighting scenes are quite amusing and it is quite "fast" to watch...
  • When Buffy first aired I was one of those judgmental snobs who looked down my nose thinking it was Dawson's Creek with monsters.... I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG!

Cheesy name, on the WB, main character a high school girl. Exactly why I couldn't be bothered to watch when it aired. I'll say it again: I WAS WRONG! I am a huge fan of Firefly, created by Joss Whedon, so I gave Buffy a shot. It's everything good tv should be: Strong Characters. Characters who develop emotionally over time. Wide range of interesting supporting characters. Hillariously funny and horribly sad... often at the same time. Seasonal arcs that develop complex stories. Clever and insightfull dialoge. Deep internal mythology. This show really has it all. Firefly is a show that is equally good, but with only 12 episodes. Finding seven complete seasons of a show this good is like finding pure gold.
  • Truly truly influential.

This is the show that first got me hooked on TV and is quite clearly the influence behind my love of strong-female characters. Sci-fi/fantasy shows like BTVS rely heavily on great writing. How do you make a story about a teenage girl who fights demons and vampires watchable? By making it quirky, slapstick but at the same time incredibly endearing. It's that wonderful mix that BTVS has which makes the show so unique; from the beginning to the very end. It's a true credit to creator, Joss Whedon, and all the writing staff that the show is able to remain "Believable" to the viewer (I mean, just look at the original movie – now there's an example of a great idea handled very very badly). Even though at times the show drifted to places that I didn't enjoy as much, it always found a way of keeping me hooked.

It's a show which works on so many different levels, whether you watch the show for the characters, the story, the metaphors for life or just for entertainment; it has something for everyone. Even though it's a show with meaning behind it ("Highschool is hell" etc) it doesn't shove it in your face like so many other shows. It lets you see the meaning where you want to see it; but if you just want to see a hot chick kick butt – you can!

The character interaction is fantastic (again, great writing), you can really feel the love between Buffy, Xander and Willow in every scene. I love the fact that even though they all change, go off in different direction throughout the 7 seasons; in the end they end up exactly where they started – the same place, but just different people.

All in all, it's a great show. Wonderful characters, great storylines, memorable lines and some pretty kick*** moments. I am happy to be among the masses of people who can truly say this show changed their life.
  • Good show that I began watching late, and am sorely missing many years down the line!

I first started watching this show when I saw all the Buffy Lives! billboards around my house, and became hooked pretty quickly. It is an imaginitive show that comes up with pretty new plotlines for every episode so you don't feel like you are watching the same episode over and over like you do with some other shows. Acting and character interactions are awesome and believably, and I most definitely miss this show a lot!! I have tried to watch other supernatural shows, but none have been able to hold a candle to Buffy. It could be my prejudice, but I think this is one of the best shows of its kind out there.

First time I ever heard of a series called Buffy the vampire Slayer I was too young to watch it. I was too young because it came so late I couldn´t really watch it on school nights. One of my friends was always talking about it though so I tried to record one episode and it din´t work for some reason and I just forgot about the whole thing.

Years later my other friend had started to watch Buffy and Angel and she recomended them to me. Since they both now came at a time I could actually watch them I got started. Ofcourse it was the end of season six on Buffy and on Angel it was the end of third so I din´t quite understand what was going on sometimes. I still got hooked and not only because I thought David Boreanaz was unbeliveably gorgeous. However I had a new consern: How will I be able to watch every single episode of each season, both series? At that time they didn´t do much reruns where I lived and I knew I couldn´t wait for them to come on tv so I bought my first Buffy DVD. For some reason I had bought the fifth season even though I hadn´t yet seen the previous ones but it seemed such a great idea at the time. And it really was because now I knew I had to get the rest of the season too.

Next seasons I bought were first and second and then I bought the fourth. For me the order in which I watched the episodes din´t really matter much because I had started the series from the end part and I kinda already knew what kind of things were about to happen with the major story line. (Riley was the only thing I can think of, that I din´t understand for a long time) Anyway, whatever season I was watching, I absolutely loved it. I laughed and cried and loved and lost. Still it took me a long time to get all of the DVD´s but now I´m so happy that I have them. Everything about Buffy the vampire Slayer is simply genious. I can only thank Joss Wheadon for bringing something this great to our lives. In every season there are so many wonderful moments that you just have to watch over and over again until your DVD player gets really tired.

I have also found some similarities to another series I adore. In both series there is one with the joking and lovable dorkiness, one is very powerful in the world of academics as well as in the real world and then one is the hero who always saves the day in the end no matter how hard it might be sometimes to do the right thing. Both heroes are human, they can make mistakes and be weak sometimes. They are the ones that have to make the hard desisions and nobody else really understands that. They sacrifice their lives and happiness for other people and that´s the beauty of those series. You just cant get enough of the world of magic and demons and heroes who truly put others before themselves. Buffy and Angel´s realationship is...I don´t even know how to descripe it...it´s powerful! I also like Buffy and Spike in season seven (not in six so much) but the moment that Angel came back just to chat...Aah! I have to believe that what ever happened on the series wasn´t the end for them. They will always love each other and I love that!

For me this series is just everything I ever needed it to be. Buffy forever!!

I started watching Buffy around the time the 2nd season started and knew that it was a special show right from the begining than somewhere during the 3nd season I stopped watching it. I don't know why but I still knew it was out there. I remember hearing about the end of season 5 and the begining of season 6 but not until I saw a commercial for "Once more with feeling" and the release of the season sets on DVD did I get back into. I even had a thing that I called "buffy tuesdays" where the FX channel showed 2 hours of Buffy back to back and a new episode right after on UPN/FOX this is one show I truly miss

Buffy is probably the reason that I have obsessive tv tendencies! :) This show is my favorite show and I of course have all 7 seasons on DVD now because I love it so much and some of my DVDs no longer work due to being overwatched!

The beginning of the show and the end of the show both could have been better but the show was still amazing!!! I love Xander he was like my favorite character because no matter what he always was willing to follow Buffy into battle even if he had no superpowers!!! Xander was amazing at the end with his eye patch too!!!

Anya was amazing too she was just too funny with her bunny phobia and her constant sex talk. it was so sad when she died at the end of the series though!

I loved Tara too because she was so adorable and quiet and her and Willow were so amazing together.

All the characters in this show were so amazing and they all were played by amazing actos/actresses!

Buffy still gives me a place to escape from reality and battle vampires even if it's only for a short time!!!

Very simply, one of the smartest, funniest, scariest, most interesting shows ever on TV. And I'm the East Coast pusher. ;)

Every season there are a few shows that I will start watching just to see what they're like. The ones that attract my attention the fastest are genre shows (fantasy, sci-fi, horror), but these almost always fail quickly. Halfway through the season one year, just as I was lamenting the lack of supernatural drama, I caught wind of this series on the WB. I was a fan of the movie, but I honestly didn't see what they could do with the story to make it worthy of a weekly series. I figured it would be a curiosity. Gone in a couple weeks, to become a question on Trivial Pursuit.

I'd heard of BTVS during it's run, but I'd dismissed it as just another show for kids- as a guy in his forties at the time, I figured Buffy wasn't really suited for my demographic. After all, what possible entertainment value could a show about a Vampire killing High School girl hold for me?

So I didn't watch a single episode first-run. It was only after it went off the air that I, following the advice of a trusted friend, rented the first DVD of Season one.

The very next day, I ordered all seven seasons' DVDs from Amazon. The show, even in it's first four eps, simply blew me away. The thematic richness, clever dialog, perfect casting won me over immediately. Who would have guessed that a middle-aged man would fall in love with a show about High School kids?

It's not hyperbole to say that Buffy The Vampire Slayer was quite possibly the very best show ever on TV. I've devoured every episode at least three times so far, every time watching them in marathon weekend sessions, and my enjoyment of them has not yet diminished a bit. It's not surprising that several scholarly studies have been published about the Buffyverse. The show had an unparalleled depth, and a near-uniquely perfect blend of comedic and dramatic elements. That, combined with the flawless casting and Joss Whedon's masterful production, make it not surprising that the show has survived as a favorite of so many across such a wide demographic for so long after it's demise.
