    TWO TO GO

    The Good;
This ep just never stops moving, just like 'truck driving magic momma' DarkWillow.

    The Bad;
    No time for that!

    Best line;
Anya; (of Andrew) "The annoying vrigin has a point"

    Women good/men bad;
The female coven sense the impending disaster whilst the male dominated Council don't

    Jeez!;
You really know how far Willow has gone when she threatens her beloved Dawn, mocking her loss of Tara and Joyce. Willow really doesn't live here anymore as is brought home by her referring to herself in 3rd person.

    Kinky dinky;
Anya tells Xander that her tryst with Spike was not vengence as it appeared, it was solace. Xander doubts that Andrew has ever had any sex. According to Clem Rack likes 'little girls' (as we saw with Willow and Amy). Dawn says she's not a little girl anymore but still insists on going to see him, willing to pay any price to help those she loves.

    Captain Subtext;
Xander spends almost the whole episode bemoaning his uselessness. Don't worry, every dog has his day and it's coming. Andrew says he's willing to search every hole in his body or Jonathon's? Note Jonathon keeps trying to help at the Magic Shop, he wants to be part of the Scoobygang. Even DarkWillow still refers to Dawn as 'cutie' and 'honey'. Spike meanwhile get's half naked and all sweaty with the 'walking action figure' (who later turns up as Helo's...I'm sorry Agent Ballard's sparring partner in Dollhouse).

  • The Dark Willow Saga Part II: Vengeance Isn't Enough

    8.5
    "Great"

Two To Go-After exacting revenge on Warren for Tara's death, an extremely powerful and vengeful Willow now vows to go after the other two members of the trio, Jonathan and Andrew. After freeing the Duo from jail and escaping from Willow, the Scoobies run to the Magic Box to find a protection spell. While all this is going on in Sunnydale, Spike undergoes a fierce challenge given by an African demon in order to become what he once was.

Willow's rage gets taken up a notch as these episode continue to get darker. I loved the sequence of Willow pursuing Jonathan and Andrew. Filled with more great SFX and a scary shot of Willow screeching in anger. Alyson Hannigan once again shows how terrifying she can be. Her confrontation with Rack was intense as well as when she confronts Dawn and Buffy soon after. I'm sure most fans were praising Willow for calling Dawn out on her constantwhining but I loved her speech to Buffy after Buffy fails to make Buffy realize how precious life is. As cold as Willow's words were, they hold true. Buffy should be the last person to sell anyone on the world. The only time she's ever been happy was when she was dead and Willow knows Buffy is just full of BS. This all leads to a great moment where Buffy and Willow finally duke it out. It's hard to believe these two are about to fight but it turns out to be one of the series' most impressive fights and you just gottta love Willow's line prior to the fight:

Willow; "Oh Buffy. You really need to have every square inch of your ass kicked!"

Anya and Xander also get more movement with them as their scene in the Magic Box. It's a great scene showing how Xander continues to beat himself up about everything that's happening to the point where he feelscompletelyuseless while Anya is at a point where she doesn't know what do about her anger toward Xander, she hates him yet still loves him. But I did love the moment where Xander makes sure Anya's okay before he leaves the Magic Box but she tells him to go and focus on saving Jonathan and Andrew. Although, I'm a little surprised Anya didn't help Buffy when she was fighting Willow. Considering we know Vengeance demons are pretty tough (can survive stab wounds no less) and have super strength of their own as we see in "Selfless" next season, it seems a bit silly for her to be so helpless when Willow confronts her and knocks her out so easily. But still the last few minutes of the episode end with the biggest twist of the season yet as Willow seems unstoppable until Giles shows up with a energy ball to knock her down. Badass!!!

The episode also has it's far share of hilarious moments, especially from Jonathan and Andrew, like when Jonathan and Andrew fight in their cell and Andrew references Dark Phoenix outside of the jailhouse after Willow goes into their cell. But they aren't the only ones who have the funny moments in this episode. I loved when Buffy tells Jonathan to shut up after the fact she declares she's only saving him and Andrew for Willow. Then there's Xander and Anya making fun of Andrew's virginity after having a complete geek moment. Overall, a stellar second part and the last episode is quite the superb finish!!

  • "She's running on grief and magicks" – Xander

    9.0
    "Superb"
As at the start of the Season 5 finale, we get a rundown of everything that's happened so far: the preview details the important plot points leading up to "one down" and this moment, this now, the running through the woods, once again in pursuit of the season's big bad. The Buffy/Willow battle begins as the latter destroys Xander's car to slow them down and Buffy destroys the gaol cell in order to rescue the rest of the Troika from "Darth Rosenberg". They're not cutting each other any slack. Xander is left behind as his ex-girlfriend transports herself to the prison and his best friend runs as fast as her Slayer legs will carry her. Without his car, Xander is nothing. He's not even the wheels guy any more. Later, he claims its his fault that the gang is in this mess – he thinks he could have stopped Warren, stopped the bullets. He has no special powers, no way to stop Dark Willow – well, until the next ep anyway.

Everyone is choosing sides – Anya is cool, calm and in charge as she tries to bust the duo out of jail. Dawn is brave and intelligent as she persuades comic relief Clem, who doesn't like the dark side of the underworld ("It's not very clean"), to help her find Rack's shack. Jonathan attempts to help with the Sumarian/Babylonian translation, but it turns out that Buffy et al hold him as responsible for Tara's death and Willow's actions as Willow does. He has to settle for chewing out Andrew who is showing signs of schizophrenia: waiting for Warren's transmissions through the prison bedposts. He is ungrateful for the gang's help, he tries to manipulate Jonathan into escaping with him, and he is still in denial about the part they played in Willow's downfall. He wants to go to Mexico, but it's Jonathan who introduces the Mexican stand off when Andrew tries to shake off Xander with the use of a sword. Jonathan, however, understands their role in the situation only too well: "We signed on. We signed up. We wanted to see where our plans would take us." He knows they have to return to jail "to do our time". He also voices the gang's confusion and lack of understanding about Willow's sudden change: "She was always Just Willow". Problem is that she never wanted to be "Just Willow". She never wanted to be the "sideman", the loser", the girl who was picked on (is this all Cordelia's fault rather than Warren's?) the helper - she wanted to be centre wage. With her regular magic denied her, this was the only way she could go about being the focus of everyone's attentions – the traditional super villain, the bad element. "I am the magicks", she declares. She explains that there's no point in her returning to being Just Willow because the only person who made her feel good about herself is gone. Prejudices declared: I remain unconvinced by Dark Willow. Vamp Willow was funny, but Dark Willow, with her deep voice, supercilious ways, black contact lenses and crap puns is just not very well actualised. Nonetheless, she appropriates (male) power from Rack as she turns the tables and takes a tour of him, before sending him off to the big opium den in the sky. We see an echo of Glory when she destroyed the student hall as Willow hovers over the smashed up gaol; Willow is now the ultimate power, the dark god. Whilst the gang think that Willow would never hurt "her family", we see how far gone Willow is as she threatens Dawnie with returning her to the mystical ball of energy she once was. "We'll all be happier without listening to the constant whining". Never a truer word spoken in a dark magic vengeful fury! A villain you know is worse than one you don't as they understand your weak spots. She turns Buffy's "There's so much to live for" speech on its head as she scoffs: "You're trying to sell me on the world? I know you were happier in the ground". She points out that it was her magic, the stuff Buffy is trying to turn her off of, that brought Buffy back to the world she claims is worth so much. Paradoxical, huh. Anya is more phlegmatic about Willow's aims as she claims that Willow doesn't care: "if you live or die". However, she cares about doing the right thing: we see Anya's courageous and moral nature as she carries on with the protection spell even after Willow has (Toto like) discovered her behind the curtain.

So the Buffy/Willow smackdown begins. I'm sure it pleases the boy-viewers, but personally, I preferred the Buffy/Faith fights. There is some awful quipping, with the writers giving Willow the worst lines: "Get off superb*tch!" and "You really need to have every square inch of your ass kicked". I know its the end of the season, but I'd've thought that they could have come up with some better gags than that. At least it's the Magic Box being trashed this time, rather than the Summers house.

Meanwhile, in the gratuitously naked subplot, Spike is vanquishing a demon with fiery fists. Willow could have learned from Spike that only hubris follows grand sweeping statements. As she announces: "There's no-one in the world with the power to stop me now!", a magically modified Giles (echoes of his wizard costume) bursts in to see what a terrible job Anya has done of minding the shop - and to save the day!
  • this episode shows the way joss can change the story line

    9.5
    "Superb"
this episode is exciting from start to finish with the non stop action you would expect from this show. The ending is a cliffhanger and leaves us thinking that the answer to all of their problems have been answered when Giles arrives. This ending shows how Joss can change the plot in a click.
  • A solid episode, in spite of some character inconsistencies.

    7.4
    "Good"
The Dark Willow saga continues. While very exciting, some lapses in character logic really annoyed me here.

Dark Willow's goal is to kill anyone associated with Tara's death, period. It's also made clear that she doesn't mind hurting her friends if they get in the way of that. But why, when Xander leaves with Jonathan and Andrew, does Willow not follow? Buffy isn't strong enough to stop her, so there's no real reason for Willow to stay, except to have a showdown with Buffy. While Willow-vs.-Buffy is an awesome idea, there was no reason for Willow to fight her except for her to be one-dimensionally "evil."

Anya is also poorly written here. A character known for blithely saying (humorously) embarrassing things, she's just a generic "good" character here, giving exposition that the audience already knows, like "Warren is dead! We need to get out of here!"

And early on in the episode, we see that Anya can teleport faster than Willow can fly. So why oh why does Anya stand there when Willow comes to choke her? For that matter, why didn't she follow Jonathan and Andrew out the door, if her spell is meant to protect them? Can't she walk and read at the same time?

While we're at it, why does Buffy just stand there and continue to take every zap from Willow's fingers? How about ducking or jumping out of the way? No wonder Willow beat her so easy.

The highlight of the episode is the surprising re-appearance of an old friend at the climax. When the "cavalry" arrived, I stood up hooting and hollering! The ending will DEMAND that you watch the next episode right away. :)
  • not as amazing as the other two Dark Willow episodes. but still pretty amazing. specially the fight between Willow and Buffy and the comeback of Giles at the end of the episode.

    Two To Go

Another powerful Dark Willow episode. not as good as the first and the last but still VERY impression. what didn't work were the geeks but every scene with Willow was really powerful and strong.

cut to the woods with Buffy. Xander and Anya running and they need to save Andrew and Jonathan and Anya can teleport and goes. Xander and Buffy go to the car but she broke it so Buffy runs over to jail and Xander is sad because he can't help this way.

    the credits start

cut to Andrew and Jonathan and Andrew thinks Warren is doing a test and that he will come to save him but Jonathan thinks he's pathetic and says that he won't and then suddenly Anya arrives and what happened and that Warren is dead and now Willow is coming for them. they call the guard and he doesn't understand and Anya tells him to open the cell. cut to Willow arriving and she beats down some cops and starts ripping off the wall and Andrew and Jonathan are scared and Buffy arrives from the back. when Willow finally goes in she only finds Anya who tries to stop her but Willow knocks her out and screams.

cut to Xander with a police car and he puts them all in and they leave but Willow comes after them. in the car Jonathan doesn't believe that was Willow but then she in a truck behind them. she knows Buffy and Xander are there too but doesn't care. after a while she starts to draining and the truck stops and the gang escapes. cut to Clem and Dawn and he's tasting some ships but she thinks she needs to go to a place and he needs to help her. cut to Spike in a cave and his first trial is gonna start and it's against a guy who can turn his hands on fire. he starts to beat up Spike. cut to Clem and Dawn searching for Rack because he might know where Willow is but Clem doesn't think she can stop Willow.

cut to the magic shop and they arrive but Andrew and Jonathan are annoying the rest and they don't know what to do and Buffy says that if Willow lost some magic so she went to a place to recharge. cut to Rack's place and Willow arrives and he says he could sent her from far away and says that she's still a strawberry but only ripe now and he asks what she wants and she wants a tour and she sucks all his magic out. cut to Clem and Dawn arriving to the place and Dawn goes to Rack and she finds his body floating and Willow is right behind her. and Dawn thinks she looks terrible and wants to leave but Willow doesn't let her. she says she needs to be an energy ball again because she's always whining and everybody would be a lot happier and then comes Buffy in and tells Willow to get away.

cut to the magic shop and Anya and Xander are having a fight. and the geeks are annoying them but Andrew says that The Wicca bitch will do anything she wants and that when she finish them that she will continue. Xander thinks Anya still wants him dead but she doesn't know and she can't do vengeance on him and with Spike was just solace. she just has to hate him and she says it's his fault and he says he knows because he could have stopped Warren and that he feels useless but she says she was talking about their relationship. cut to Willow and Buffy and Dawn and Buffy says that there are so many good things in the world. Willow says that Willow was a loser and how she's a junkie and that Buffy hates the world too because she almost killed her friends and she banged a vampire just to feel. the only time Buffy was ever at piece was when she was in the ground but Willow brought her back. and then they are in the magic shop and Dawn and Buffy fall on the ground and she tries to kill the geeks.

cut to Anya protecting them and Willow can't hurt them but keeps trying. cut to Spike fighting the demon with fire and he kicks him in the nuts and then brakes his neck. but the cave demon says he passed the first stage of the test. cut to the magic shop and Willow doesn't understand why she can't hurt the geeks but then Buffy comes and Willow hits her away but Buffy then knocks Willow out and the geeks go away with Dawn and Xander and Willow and Buffy are ready to fight and Buffy is gonna show her what a slayer really is and they fight each other but then Willow knocks her out. cut to the others running away and they need to find a save place but Andrew doesn't listen and puts a sword against Xander.

cut to Buffy and Willow fighting and Buffy throws her to where Anya is and Willow sees she was fighting the wrong guy. cut to Andrew and he won't let him go because he doesn't wanna die and Jonathan makes Andrew let Xander go and Jonathan tells Andrew than they are going back to jail when this is over. cut to Willow with Anya and she throws her away and knocks her out and then goes over to Buffy and she does a spell and knocks Buffy out as well and Willow says it's not about the violence but about the power and nobody can stop her now but then comes Giles and he attacks her from behind 'I'd like to test that theory'

    Black Out

    ----------

    Best episode quotes:

Xander: I think I'm gonna be sick.

    Anya: Again?

Buffy: Xander, we don't have time.

Xander: I know, it's just ... what happened back there, the sounds of it. The smell.

    Buffy: I know.

    Xander: Willow did that.

Buffy: That's why we have to keep moving. You heard what she said, "One down."

Anya: So we're talking about "two to go," right, Jonathan and whatshisface, the other guy.

Buffy: Andrew. They're sitting at county jail without a clue Willow's coming. Willow's got an addictive personality, and she just tasted blood. She could be there already.

Anya: No. She couldn't, a witch at her level. She can only go airborne. It's a thing. More flashy, impresses the locals, but it does take longer.

    Xander: Longer than what?

    Anya: Teleporting.

Xander: Right. Vengeance demon. Well, at least she'll get there first.

Buffy: I'm counting the ways that could go wrong.

Xander: Well, Anya can handle herself.

Buffy: Against Willow? Tonight ? Don't be too sure.

Xander: Well ... she should be coming down at some point, shouldn't she? I mean, back there she was out of her head ... running on grief and magicks.

Buffy: Doesn't matter . Willow just killed someone. Killing people changes you. Believe me, I know.

Xander: Warren was a cold-blooded killer of women just warming up. You ask me, that bastard had it coming to him.

Buffy: Maybe. Andrew and Jonathan don't.

Xander: This is still Willow we're dealing with, right?

Buffy: I hope so. Whatever she's going through, we have to stop her. And maybe we can actually do that if we can get to your...car.

    Xander: Willow.

Buffy: I guess she wants to finish the job without us tagging along. Meet me at the jail.

Xander: Sure, how are you gonna... Okay, then, I'll just ... catch up. She's only my best friend, you know. No big deal, just... glad I could help.

Andrew: Dude. Move like, a foot to your left.

    Jonathan: What for?

Andrew: I'm trying to hear something.

    Jonathan: Like what?

    Andrew: Signals.

Jonathan: Oh, for crying out loud. Signals? Who from, your probe-happy alien friends? Say, maybe we can trade a pack of cigarettes in for tin foil. Make you a nice antenna hat.

Andrew: Laugh it up, fuzzball. I figured it out. Warren never abandoned us. Well, not me, anyway. This is like his test. If we can figure out how he's communicating with us, then we'll be, you know, worthy.

    Jonathan: You're checking for implants?

Andrew: Lex Luthor had a false epidermis escape kit in "Superman Versus the Amazing Spider-Man" Treasury edition-

Jonathan: Okay, first of all, those were sonic disrupters. And second of all ... you are sadness personified. Waiting for Warren? Yeah, maybe he'll come bust us out of here on Santa's magic sleigh.

Andrew: I'm telling him you said that.

Jonathan: Why wait? I'll tell him right now. Hey, Warren, do you read me, your girlfriend's pathetic, over.

Andrew: Shut up, Jerk-athan! You see this? This is why we get jet packs and all you get is left behind.

    Jonathan: So you admit it.

Andrew: Why not? You were out of the Trio a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away and you know why, little feller? No respect for the chain of command.

Jonathan: Yeah, see how far it's gotten you. Checking every hole in your sad little body for transmitters that don't exist.

Andrew: Oh I'll find it if I have to check every hole in my body and yours.

    Jonathan: Get off!

    Andrew: Make me!

    Anya: There you two are.

    Andrew: You do that?

Anya: Listen to me. We have to get you out of here or you'll both be killed. Guard!

    Jonathan: What's going on?

    Anya: Guard!

Andrew: Stop that! I don't trust her. Do you trust her? This is major uncool.

Jonathan: Um, Anya, you're gonna have to break this down for us a little.

Anya: Warren shot Buffy. Warren shot Tara. Buffy's alive. Tara's dead. Willow found out, and being the most powerful Wicca in the western hemisphere, decided to get the payback. With interest.

    Andrew: Wh-what about Warren?

Anya: She killed him. Ripped him apart and bloodied up the forest doing it. Now she's coming here and the two of you are next.

Andrew: Oh my god ... Warren.

Jonathan: Oh my god ... me. Guard!

Andrew: But we didn't do anything.

    Jonathan: Guard!!

Policeman: All right, all right, what do you... Who the hell are you?

Anya: Something's coming. Something bad. You have to let these men out of here or I guarantee you there will be hell to pay.

Policeman: Okay, uh ... what exactly's coming?

Anya: One of the many things in this world you are not prepared to deal with.

    Policeman: That a fact?

Anya: Yes. And we're running out of time. So just believe me when I tell you... these things are real. They're dangerous. And they're coming.

    Buffy: Is she coming?

    Xander: I don't see anything.

Buffy: Are you guys all right? Are you injured?

    Jonathan: I, I don't think so.

Andrew: Where are you taking us?

Buffy: We'll find someplace safe and we'll keep you there until we can stop Willow.

Andrew: Run and hide, that's your brilliant plan?

    Jonathan: I don't believe this.

Xander: Boys, if you don't knock it off, I will pull this car over and you can just walk to your painful deaths from here.

Jonathan: I don't get it. Willow's a witch. Why doesn't she just , you know, wave her arms and make us dead?

Buffy: Because she doesn't want you dead. She wants to kill you.

Andrew: But we didn't do anything. Ow!

Xander: Hate to admit it, Buff, but Jonathan may have a point. Why isn't she right here right now?

Buffy: Maybe she's just getting her mojo up and running. Or maybe she hasn't figured out exactly how much power she really has yet. Neither have we.

Xander: Guess we keep running, then.

Jonathan: I still can't believe that was Willow. I mean, I've known her almost as long as you guys. Willow was ... you know. She packed her own lunches and wore floods and was always... just Willow. Geez it!

    Andrew: What was that?

    Xander: Just Willow.

Clem: Not that I'm knocking the nacho cheese ones. I like the taste. It's just the texture I can't deal with. So gritty. Kinda hurts my tongue. So, I'd give 'em a seven. Maybe a seven-five ... and, you think this is dumb, don't you?

Dawn: Uh, no! No, as taste tests go, this is definitely one of the better ones I've been to.

Clem: I get it. No biggie. Uh, you wanna play cards?

    Dawn: Clem...

Clem: I can be a real boredom-buster, if you just give me half a chance.

    Dawn: It's not you.

Clem: Still, I feel responsible. It's not fair ... girl your age, cooped up in a crypt. Tell you what, let me get my hat and coat, I'll take you to a movie. We'll go nuts! PG-thirteen.

    Dawn: Clem!

    Clem: Uh-huh?

Dawn: Look at me. Do I look weak to you? O-or incapable?

    Clem: Heck no.

Dawn: So why am I stuck here?

Clem: No good reason I can see. I'm still real sorry about what happened. If there's anything I can do to help ... just name it.

    Dawn: Anything?

Clem: Ohh ... you're not going to get yourself in trouble now, are you? Or me? 'Cause your sister's the Slayer; I'm a demon, that's real good incentive to get along with her.

Dawn: I need a demon to help me. Spike would have.

    Clem: Spike's gone.

    Cave Demon: You understand, then.

Spike: Yeah. Yeah, it's not like you haven't been clear about it, oh great mysterious one. This is a test. I don't get what I want unless I pass said test. That about the size and shape?

    Cave Demon: Yes.

Spike: And since your pad is decked out gladiator-style, and no number two pencils have been provided ... I guess we're not starting with the written. Oh, here we go then. Just me and the walking action figure. I'm venturing this would be the kill-or-be-killed type of situation, then?

    Cave Demon: To the death.

Spike: Right. Here we are now. Entertain us.

Dawn: Rack's place was right around here last time.

Clem: Oh, huh, I don't feel anything. Oh well. Not here. Let's go home.

Dawn: You don't feel anything because his place moves. I told you.

Clem: Know why Rack moves all the time? Because he's shady. A bad element comes down here.

Dawn: I get that. But Willow's part of it now. She is the element. If she isn't around somewhere, Rack may know where she is. Which is why we need to talk to him.

Clem: We? In a face to face way?

Dawn: Or me. I'll go in there without you.

Clem: No, no, it's fine, I'm good, it's just, Rack isn't partial to the floppy-eared. He has a thing! But, but hey, I'm in. Absolutely.

Dawn: Either way. Just get me there.

Clem: Say Rack does know where Willow is. He's not going to tell you for nothing. He's gonna want something.

    Dawn: I have money.

Clem: That's not the kind of something he's gonna want. Rack likes little girls.

Dawn: I am not a little girl.

Clem: I, I don't know if you've thought this through. I'm supposed to keep you safe and this whole thing is... I mean, even if you find Willow ... you really think you can stop her?

Xander: Thanks, Anya, for getting here so fast. It's a big help.

Anya: Once again, Xander in need of the big help.

Xander: Whatever. So, can you still sense Willow? Knowing her location'd be a real big comfort right about now.

Anya: No, I can't. Which means whatever she's feeling, it's gone way beyond simple vengeance.

Xander: Did I mention me needing the comfort?

Buffy: Whatever we've got, better grab it fast. This is one of the first places she's gonna think to look for us.

Xander: And I could smack you so hard your eyeballs would switch sockets.

Rack: Hey, babe. I been waiting for you. Guess the rehab didn't take, huh. That's the way it goes sometimes.

He gets up and walks slowly toward her. But I gotta say ... I could feel you coming a mile away, the power you got. And you know something, sweetness? I liked it. When you first came to me, you were just a little ... slip of a girl. Look at you now, all ... growed up. So full of dark juice. And you still taste like strawberries. Only now ...you're ripe. You came because you want something. Don't you? I thought so. So tell me, Strawberry... what on this earth do you want?

Willow: Just to take a little tour.

Willow: Dawnie, what are you doing here? 'Cause if you're looking for me? Now's not a great time.

    Dawn: You look terrible.

    Willow: Do I?

Dawn: You're back on the magicks.

Willow: No, honey. I am the magicks.

Dawn: Did you kill that guy?

Willow: It's an improvement, believe me.

    Dawn: I have to go.

Willow: Why? So you can run and tell Buffy?

Dawn: Willow ... please, just listen to me.

Willow: You don't have to talk. Just think real loud. I can hear you.

    Dawn: You're freaking me out.

Willow: Oh, don't be like that. I'm just a little wired. And I have some things to do. I thought if anybody'd understand-

Dawn: I miss Tara, too! But this? What you're doing here? This is not the way to go! You're only going to make things worse! But I promise, it's not too late to-

    Willow: You miss her?

    Dawn: Yes.

Willow: Did you cry? Of course you did. I get that. I understand the crying, you cry because you're human. But you weren't always.

    Dawn: Yes, I was.

Willow: No, please. You're telling me you don't remember? You used to be some ... mystic ball of energy. Maybe that's why you're crying all the time, Dawnie. 'Cause you don't belong here. Wanna go back? End the pain? You'll be happier. I'll be happier. We'll all be a lot happier without listening to the constant whining.

    Dawn: Willow, stop...

Willow: "Mom!" "Buffy!" "Tara!" "Waah!" It's time you go back to being a little energy ball. No more tears, Dawnie.

Buffy: I think you need to get away from her.

    Anya: You're too close.

Xander: How am I supposed to read?

Anya: I don't know, I'm staring right at this stuff and I can't read it.

Xander: Well, how's the translation coming? What have we got so far?

Anya: So far we've got "the." Well, either "the" or "towards," I'm not really sure. I can't do this. I'm in retail. Stupid ancient Sumerian.

Andrew: I like taking orders. Just tell me what to do.

Jonathan looks like he's considering it.

Jonathan: You want an order? Grow up.

Xander: Hey now, play nice, fellas, or you'll break our concentration.

Anya: Which means no protection spell.

Xander: And Willow will make you two boneless chickens skinless, too.

Andrew: And then what? You think your little witch buddy's gonna stop with us? You saw her! She's a truck-driving Magic Mama! And we've got maybe seconds before Darth Rosenberg grinds everybody into Jawa-burgers, and not one of you bunch has the midichlorians to stop her.

Xander: You've never had any tiny bit of sex, have you?

Anya: The annoying virgin has a point. What if Willow fillets their soles and then comes after us?

    Xander: She won't.

    Anya: You don't know that.

Xander: We're her friends, Anya. Her family. She would never hurt us.

Anya: She tried to use you for a hood ornament, Xander. She doesn't care if you live or die.

Xander: Guess you two finally have something in common

Anya: I care if you live or die, Xander. I'm just not sure which one I want.

Xander: Again with the comfort. Look, we both know things might get ugly at, uh, Wiccapalooza. And if it gets really bad...

Anya: Let me guess. You'll propose?

Xander: I need to know if you're gonna turn on me. Use this little shindig as an excuse for some sweet revenge.

Anya: There is nothing in this world that could give me greater or more lasting satisfaction than to reap bloody vengeance upon you, Xander Harris. But I can't. Not officially, not magically . So smile, it's your lucky day. You got away with it, I can't hurt you.

Xander: Right, 'cause you varnishing the table with Spike, how could that possibly have hurt? It may have chafed...

Anya: That wasn't vengeance. It was solace. Look ... I really can't hurt you, so, I'm just gonna have to settle for hating you.

Xander: If that's what you need to do.

Anya: Don't! You don't get to play the martyr.

    Xander: I'm not.

Anya: You know, none of this would be happening if it weren't for you.

Xander: You think I don't know that? You think I'm the hero of this piece? I saw the gun. Before Warren raised it, I ... I saw it, and I couldn't move. He shot two of my friends ... before I could even.... You want me to know how useless I am? That it's my fault? Thanks. Already got the memo.

Anya: I was talking about us.

Buffy: You need to back down a minute and think, Will.

Willow: I wasn't gonna hurt her. Buzzkill.

Dawn: She tried to turn me back...

Buffy: You're attacking the people who love you now?

Willow: Only the ones in my way.

Buffy: That's not ... You need help.

Willow: I'm doing fine on my own, thanks.

Buffy: Dawn, get out of here. Go!

    Willow: Don't. We're all friends.

Buffy: Willow, I know what you want to do, but you have to listen to me. The forces inside you are incredibly powerful. They're strong ... but you're stronger. You have to remember you're still Willow.

Willow: Let me tell you something about Willow. She's a loser. And she always has been. People picked on Willow in junior high school, high school, up until college. With her stupid mousy ways. And now? Willow's a junkie.

    Buffy: I can help.

Willow: The only thing Willow was ever good for... the only thing I had going for me ... were the moments - just moments - when Tara would look at me and I was wonderful. And that will never happen again.

Buffy: I know this hurts. Bad. But Willow, if you let loose with the magicks, it will never end.

    Willow: Promise?

    Buffy: You don't want that.

    Willow: Why not?

Buffy: Because you lose everything. Your friends, your self.... Willow, if you let this control you then the world goes away. And all of us with it. There's so much to live for. Will, there's too much-

Willow: Oh, please! This is your pitch? Buffy, you hate it here as much as I do. I'm just more honest about it.

    Buffy: That's not true.

Willow: You're trying to sell me on the world. The one where you lie to your friends when you're not trying to kill them? And you screw a vampire just to feel? And insane asylums are the comfy alternative? This world? Buffy, it's me. I know you were happier when you were in the ground. The only time you were ever at peace in your whole life is when you were dead. Until Willow brought you back. You know, with magic? Oh. Sorry, the trip can be kind of rough... if you're, you know , not me.

    Buffy: Dawn!

Willow: Jonathan. Andrew. You boys like magic, don't you? Abracadabra.

Buffy: I don't want to hurt you.

    Willow: Not a problem.

    Buffy: I said I didn't want to. Didn't say I wouldn't.

    Willow: So. Here we are.

Buffy: Are we really gonna do this?

Willow: Come on, this is a huge deal for me! Six years as a side man, and now I get to be the Slayer.

Buffy: A killer isn't a Slayer. Being a Slayer means something you can't conceive of.

Willow: Oh, Buffy. You really need to have every square inch of your ass kicked.

Buffy: Then show me what you got. And I'll show you what a Slayer really is.

Willow: Buffy ... I gotta tell ya ... I get it now. The Slayer thing really isn't about the violence. It's about the power. And there's no one in the world with the power to stop me now.

Giles: I'd like to test that theory.

    9.9
    "Superb"
This was an extremely good episode. For all of you "Buffy" fans out there I'm sure that Evil Willow is probably on ur top 10 list for cool evil villains...however...I found a few bloopers...

First, during the fight scene between Buffy and Willow, you may notice that the huge stunts are done by a stunt double wearing a wig. Also, if you either slow it down or look close enough, you will see that sometimes Willow's hair is her usual color of red, and sometimes it is black. You will also notice that sometimes her eyes are completely black and sometimes they are her normal eyes.
  • This episode is amazing!

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
This episode, I feel, deals extremely well with Willow's sadness over Tara's death, and shows how easily sadness can be turned into anger. Even when Willow is being evil to her friends, she has a reasoning behind it, when she says about Tara being the only one who can see the real her. Brilliant acting on Alyson Hannigans part, if not slightly scary.

Nicholas Brendon was brilliant too, especially when he is talking to Anya about it being his fault when he saw the gun. Emma Caulfield is also very good in this episode.

Of course, I can't forget Trachtenburg and Gellar's performances. They were both brilliant, as always, especially Michelle's.

After killing Warren Willow goes looking for Andrew and Jonathan in her eyes they helped kill Tara, but surely she would see that they didn't influence Warren from jail.

Willow pretty much sums up the last few series when she talks about Buffy being mental, wanting to die and Dawn- Mum, Buffy, Tara Wa, energy ball

With the heroic return of Giles and the battle between Willow and Buffy this episode is filled with action.
  • Only two episodes to go...

    "Bored now."

Again, not a lot of plot, but Alyson Hannigan continues to impress. The supposedly "spectacular" battle between Buffy and Willow is a bit flat as it's basically the two of them throwing punches and alternately crashing into bookcases and other breakable pieces of furniture, but the appearance of Anthony Stewart Head in the final scene is great, and you can't help but grin.
  • One down two to go

    8.9
    "Great"
Giles return at the end was the best part.

I loved Willow going after Jonathan and Andrew after killing Warren in "Villains," that was great to watch. What made it even greater was seeing Buffy and Xander trying to protect them. Anya trying to convince the guys at the jail that someone was trying to kill Jonathan and Andrew was very amusing. I loved Anya there because those guards had no real reason to let the two of them go and Anya wasn't that convincing.

I loved the gang trying to find a spell to help protect Andrew and Jonathan. With all the books that Evil Willow had sucked dry they didn't have much to work with. It was great to see Willow's reaction to the protection spell that Anya had been secretly performing. I loved how long it took her to realize that she couldn't hurt them.

Buffy and Willow's fight scene was brilliant too. I loved seeing Buffy trying to convince Willow before than that she had so many things to live for, because it was total BS. Willow being so honest with Buffy about everything she felt was something that really needed to happen earlier in the season.

There was some really great action and stuff in this episode and Giles coming at the end was great too. Very smooth episode, I think.
  • Two to Go (1)

    "Perfect"
Two to Go (1) was a perfect and entertaining episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This was a fascinating episode that explored the darker side of Willow as she gained magic by channeling her fury over Tara's death. It was cool to see Willow using magic, though the circumstances were unpleasant. I think there was a lot of development in some of the characters, while the storylines of the season came together, and some laying the ground work for next season. I was really impressed and pleased with the ending of this episode which was very fitting. I can't wait to see how things play out in the next episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!!!!!!!!
  • Willow continues her rein (or is it reign?) of destruction!

    9.0
    "Superb"
My favourite episode from my favourite season from my favourite TV programm. Willow has turned into the Evil Queen from Hell and has just killed Warren by flaying him alive. The death of Tara has forced Willow into a world of dark magick and now she is seemingly unstoppable. She has just killed Warren and wants her hands on Andrew and Jonathon. Buffy must stop her best friend from killing two innocent people.

This is my favourite episode because we see a whole new side to Willow. She has had an addiction to magick since the beginning of the sixth season but now it has made a turn for the worst. I also love the ending with Giles "testing that theory."
  • Once more we can worship Buffy

Well! After a rather painful season of boredom and despair, things finally kick-ass!!! Willow is a powerful ass-kicking sorceress who greatly resembles Dark Phoenix/ Jean Gray from Xmen.

Her and Buffy's face-off is well done and the truck driving scene is nerve-wracking. Xander trying to prove himself as the mighty one is heartbreaking but it pays off in the next episode! Clem and Dawn have a few cute scenes - brother and sister perhaps?

But the episode belongs to Giles. He's sudden appearance at the end was a real shocker. Who would of thought an episode of season six was this good?
  • the pace quickens...and Willow is now a lethal killing machine!!!

    "Perfect"
Buffy and Xander now have no choice whatsoever but to do whatever means possible to stop Willow from wrecking more carnage...even if that means killing her.

but can Buffy pull herself to do it...i don't think she can....as Willow has now upgraded jer powers and is now a notorious killing machine.

Two To Go is a stunning thrill ride and 45 minutes of pure thrills and chills containing some of the most visually stunning sequences ever!!

including a Terminator:judgement Day reference with the truck/ car chase sequence that in itself makes it required viewing.

the episode culminates in a breathtaking yet brutal showdown sequence in the Magic Box between Willow and Buffy which is adrenaline fuelled yet heartbreaking to watch.

this is Buffy perfection all the way through!!!

    bring on Grave!!
  • Slayer vs. Witch...the two most powerful Scoobies face off

    9.3
    "Superb"
I got into watching Buffy this summer and have watched all the seasons in chronological order to get up to this point it seems. This episode starts off in the aftermath of Warren killing Tara and shooting Buffy and Willow's immediate descent into dark magic again after re-invoking the resurrection powers of Osiris fail to revive Tara.

I was glad to see Anya use her demon powers for good in trying to protect Jonathan and Andrew. While many people may be mad at her for what she did with Spike and grudging against Xander, her words to him (Xander: And if it gets really bad...

ANYA:Let me guess. You'll propose?), making reference to last season's climax with Glory, still show us how hurt she was over a break up and hurt that wasn't her fault. At the same time, I'm starting to feel a bit more for Xander considering his remorse and how he places aside his own issues to help and be there for his friends in the aftermath of Warren's shootings.

Twisted Willow is really creepy. Although she is overcome with dark magic, her bitterness towards Buffy superhero status really comes through as real and not just something the evil is making her say. The fight between her and Buffy was well executed and although Willow doesn't appear as powerful as Glory, she's now a force to be reckoned with.

In addition, the reappearance of a familiar face at the end just keeps you at the edge of your seat...
  • Willow continues on the dark path and even goes up against her friends. She is bend on making everyone pay for Tara's death.

    "Perfect"
The ending of "Villains" kind of left me speechless. Did that really happen? Did I see correctly what the Wicca did to Warren? It was, at least if you've seen the unedited version of that episode. I barely recovered and the ride goes on.

Buffy, Xander and Anya must look on helpless as Willow continues on her path of revenge. When watching the episode for the first time I could hardly sit still. The feeling was so dark, threatening and gloomy. You always had to wonder what will happen next. Despite being at odds with Xander, Anya does her best in helping the fractured Scoobies to try and stop their friend from wreaking any more damage than she already did.

And even through all of this darkness, the episode is still truly Buffy.

Most notably, the surprise return of Giles in the very last seconds of "Two to Go" left me howling tearfully at my TV. If never been more happy to see a character return on any show. It catapulted Giles at the Top of my favorite characters on Buffy.
  • Willow seeks out Andrew and Johnathan looking to enact more revenge on Tara's behalf, the magic corrupting her more and more.

    7.8
    "Good"
As the magics change Willow and corrupt her further and further she seeks out Andrew and Johnathan to enact more revenge on Tara's behalf, though Andrew and Johnathan had nothing to do with Warren killing Tara or even shooting Buffy. Eventually though Willow begins to drain and needs a power boost to maintain her powers, seeking out Rack she takes his powers and kills him. Dawn looking to do what she can to help even after Buffy left her with Clem to keep her safe seeks out Rack herself though instead finds a seriously juiced Willow. Buffy confronts her and tries to reason with her but can not as Willow uses magics to move them all back to the magic shop, where Andrew and Johnathan are waiting with Xander and Anya. But as Willow tries to use magics on them something blocks her spells, Anya using a book of anti-magics. Xander runs with Dawn, Andrew and Johnathan leaving Buffy and Willow to fight. After stopping Anya's counterspells and practicly besting Buffy Willow claims that there is no one that can stop her now, luckily Giles arrives just in time.
