A wildfire endangers the town, so Bash takes over the dance studio and forces Michelle to help turn it into a shelter since Fanny, the designated co-captain, is still out of the country. Talia, in town for her wedding, must cope with changes to her wedding plan and Michelle's real feelings about Rick. Meanwhile, the girls deal with romantic complications as Dez dogs Melanie wherever she goes, Roman and Sasha become more intimate, Boo is involved in a relationship triangle of which she wants no part, and Ginny can't stop staring at Frankie.

(The women dip marshmallows into chocolate fondue.)
Michelle: Whoa! I think I just found God!
Talia: From eating a marshmallow.
Michelle: His ways are strange.
Talia: What did he look like?
Michelle: Judy Garland.
Talia: God's a good gig for her.
(Sasha and Roman enter her apartment to check for intruders.)
Sasha: Listen, there's a baseball bat under the couch.
Roman: I don't need a baseball bat.
Sasha: And there's an umbrella in the linen closet. It's got Pretty Pony on it, but the ends are really pointy. You can poke his eyes out.
Roman: (calling to any intruder) Hello?
Sasha: There's a tennis racket by the fireplace, and there's ammonia under the sink.
Roman: So we can disinfect him?
Sasha: Blind him. Then we'll overtake him.
Roman: Unless he found the Pretty Pony umbrella, in which case we're done for.
Roman: (exits bathroom empty handed) There is a very large spider in that bathroom.
Sasha: A spider?
Roman: I mean, we're talking paleolithic horror movie type stuff here.
Sasha: Well, where's my umbrella?
Roman: He took it from me. This is a very serious spider.
(Boo's dad goes into Sasha's bathroom with a sledgehammer to check for intruders.)
Rusty: Oh, geez. What the geez!
Nanette: Rusty, what's happening?
Rusty: It's the biggest spider I've ever seen in here. It's a monster!
Nanette: Well, kill it!
Rusty: I tried. It won't die!
Nanette: Well— (about the rowdy twins) Boo, get the Winkleburns.
Rusty: Ohh, it's looking right at me.
Nanette: Smash it with your sledgehammer.
Rusty: It took the sledgehammer!
Nanette: Well, can you jump out the window?
Rusty: I can't get out the window! It's got teeth!
Bash: With Fanny gone, you are the designated co-captain of the east side evacuation center.
Michelle: No.
Bash: Yes.
Michelle: I refuse.
Bash: You can't.
Michelle: I'm unqualified.
Bash: So was I, and look at me now.
Michelle: The town is doomed.

(After Milly intimidates everyone into not reporting her cutting line.)
Michelle: And note that the group successfully avoided being wished into the cornfield.
Milly: Why does everyone make that same cornfield reference about me?
Michelle (and everyone) is referencing "It's a Good Life" from the original Twilight Zone. Written by Rod Serling, based on a 1953 short story by Jerome Bixby, the episode details the horrific life of a small Ohio town under the despotic rule of a 10-year-old boy named Anthony. He controls everything and everyone with his mind, and if anyone displeases him they are "wished to the cornfield" so that every day is a good day.
