  • Starts off slow but picks up fast.

The first thing about this Burn Notice episode that makes it better than last week is the fact that it didn't have the same storytelling issues that last week did. It was very easy to understand both the story and the client story.

The next is that a bad guy...or girl...from Season 3 returns and makes Michael, Fi, Sam and Jesse a chemicle weapon for her to make some money or whatever she needed it for. And in an attempt of Blackmail, she took Fi's handgun that she's used to kill people. The client story starts very slow but around mid-way through the episode it picks up very well and I could'nt stop staring at the TV.

For the storyline, Jesse and Michael found out that Welsh, the man that has the bible, is auctioning it and is going to get money for it. So story-wise, Jesse's old handler Marv comes in handy when they decide to use him to get the information they need to intercept the list.

The tension between Michael and Jesse is getting very...umm, weird. Jesse and Michael 'made-up' at the end of the episode, so it looks like they are friends again, for now. But anything can happen, and in Madeline's words, "Someone can get killed."

Still no update on the Vaughn situation and no mention of Simon, but in my opinion, putting beside the shaky start it really picked up and it did not take a lot of thought to figure out the story, like list week when I enjoyed the episode but was thinking really hard about what happened at the end.

This is Burn Notice, not Inception people! Anyway, a solid A for this week's Burn Notice. Happy Thanksgiving to you all and I'll be back in 2 weeks from now to review the next one, where Nate returns.moreless

    • Michael: (voice-over) When a spy finds a listening device, the last thing he does is turn it off. A bug can be a direct line into the mind of your enemy. It's delicate, but in the right hands, it's a weapon that can turn almost any situation in your favor.

    • Sam: Natalie?! You take that weapon, you're in a world of hurt! The Feds, the military...all hell's gonna rain down on you.
Natalie: I don't know, Sam. 20 million dollars will buy me a hell of an umbrella!

    • Michael: (voice-over) There's a reason most surprise attacks are just before dawn. Sleepers hit their deepest REM cycles just before sunrise, which makes it harder to come to full alertness. And anyone on watch is likely to be exhausted and at the end of a shift.

    • Fiona: (about Natalie) I still hate that we're going on this heist with her.
Michael: Fi, we can't always pick our teammates in the field.
Fiona: I am not a spy. I can't pretend someone doesn't make my skin crawl.

    • Michael: (voice-over) Intelligence work is all about relationships. Like a romance, working with a source is more about the heart than the head. Of course, romantic relationships usually end if there's a betrayal, whereas spy relationships often begin with one.

    • Michael: (voice-over) Any strategy based on creating fear in your target is a bit of a gamble. It's not just a matter of whether you succeed in making your target afraid. That's easy. What's a lot harder is ensuring that they don't fear something else even more.

    • Michael: (voice-over) Recruiting a source is a painful process. Threatening to ruin someone's life can put a lot of strain on a relationship and make it tough to work together. But sometimes a bad relationship is the best you can do.

    • Michael: (voice-over) Blackmail may be effective at times, but it's never fun. The problem is that works best on people that are basically good. If someone's made a mistake he regrets, it's easy to make him regret it even more.

    • Michael: (voice-over) It's hard to forgive someone after a betrayal, even if it was for a good cause. There's nothing more difficult to repair in the field than trust.

    • Michael: (voice-over) National intelligence agencies and local law enforcement work together more often than you might think. Most metropolitan police stations have an office called a fusion center where classified intel is collected in one place. It's a great resource if you need information fast. Unfortunately, it does involve breaking into a police station.
