A two hour Burn Notice season finale here tonight and the show got off to a great start. A little bit more talking than I would like, but a lot of drama and a lot of action, something that we could all agree on. Plus, the talking featured the snappy dialogue we expect from this show, not the drivel we have been accustomed to for the past few shows. Burn Notice always goes all out for its season finales and part one definitely continued that trend. Great reintroduction of a character and great anticipation generated for part two coming up next.moreless
  • Exciting Penultimate Episode!

In this episode, Larry and Brennan both make their returns to the show, censoring only about the list. Larry and Brennan try to get Michael to kill everyone on the list, and if Michael refuses, the tape of Michael telling Marv everything he knows about Vaughn's organization will be sent to him and he will come to Miami and kill everyone he cares about.

This episode had a lot of shocking moments, and the ending was just great. The best thing about this episode though, has to be that there was no clients this time around. Special occasion I guess? Still, great episode and great setup for the finale.moreless

  • TRIVIA (0)

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Michael: (about Vaughn) His organization has never faced this kind of exposure before. I imagine he'll marshal all of his forces and send them this way.
Sam: So, the gates of hell will open...
Jesse: The apocalypse will be upon us...
Fiona: And everyone we know and love will be in danger of becoming very dead.
Madeline: So what else is new?

    • Michael: Everything okay, Fi?
Fiona: We used to talk about where we were going, what we wanted our lives to be. And now the only time we talk about our future is when someone's coming to end it.

    • Brennen: A good general knows his army is only as effective as its weakest soldier. And a great general has no weak soldiers in his army.

    • Michael: (voice-over) When a real-estate bubble bursts, it's tough on the civilian population. But it's a field day for spies. Empty buildings provide excellent cover for scouting in an urban environment. And it's always nice to plan and execute illicit operations in air-conditioned comfort. Unfortunately, all that unoccupied space is a playground for criminals, too.

    • Michael: (voice-over) If you're looking to frame a specific group for a bombing, you use their design plans, their construction materials, and their particular brand of C-4. Bomb experts know that not all C-4 is the same. The same taggant chemicals that allow manufacturers to identify their own product will also allow forensic teams to track down the source country to determine who's to blame just like checking the label on a t-shirt to determine where it's made, only a little more complicated.

    • Sam: Okay, so you want us to just waltz into some FBI building and politely ask them to use one of their computers?
Brennen: I'm gonna go out on a limb here, Sam, and guess you're not the brains behind this operation. Computers that can access the federal database also live in federal courthouses. Did I go too fast? Are you lost, Sam?
Sam: Don't take my silence for confusion, Brennen. I was just trying to kill you with my mind.

    • Michael: (voice-over) When a soldier loses a friend in battle, his commanding officer keeps a close eye on how he copes. If his judgment is affected, he is removed from combat so one fallen soldier doesn't turn into two. Spies in the field take the same precautions. But without a strict chain of command, the decision about who stays in the game and who gets sidelined can get messy.
