While tracking down Gilroy's latest target, Michael Westen tries on a Russian spy persona in order to deal with a Polish intelligence officer. The plan backfires however, and Fiona has to salvage the mission in the guise of a CIA agent.
In order to fund their continuing monitoring of Gilroy, Michael and Sam take on a client's case. Isabella, the owner of a swanky fashion house, suspects that one of her VPs, Tim Hastings, is embezzling money from her company. Things take a strange turn when Isabella is found murdered and the most likely suspect is Tim. It's obvious that Tim is being set up, and Michael tries to uncover the true suspect while protecting Tim from being the next target.
Michael takes on the guise of a drug dealer who supposedly was one of Isabella's silent business partners, while Sam pretends to be a crime scene tech from Miami, complete with one liners and sunglasses. As the investigation goes deeper, they discover that the designer for Isabella's brand is the culprit. He wishes to take over the company, so getting rid of Isabella and Tim in one fell swoop seems to be the only way.
Michael tries to convince the designer's hired help (a DJ and a video store clerk) that they should make another attempt to kill Tim. Michael and Sam attempt to set the scene up so that the attack happens in full view of the police. However, instead of shooting Tim, as Michael suggested, the goons try to blow up Tim with a bomb. The over the top nature of the attack sends Tim into a panic, and the police nab him instead.
Michael and the team manage to turn the two hired killers against each other, however, and give enough evidence to free Tim from police custody. The identity of Gilroy's target on the flight is revealed, and it happens to be a dangerous criminal whom Gilroy is apparently planning on breaking free.
