  • Amazing show, horrible kid performance

    7.5
    "Good"
This could of being one of the best episodes in a long long time... but that kid blew it!

Really, either they stop using kid stories, or cast better kids to act... Usually anything a kid does is either dumm or cliche, with of good doze of twiching and screaming.

Watching that kid was painful, watching the rest of the show cured the pain...

Dancing with the devil will be hard to watch....

Michael's character doesn't fit the profile of cold assassin, but that is what he was (according to the show). Anyways, I can't wait to see him twist 'the job' to his own personal belief.
  • They had to drive someone crazy

It was a good episode. I wonder what was the deal with Michael and his father, that he just had to defend this poor kid and his mother of being victims. We'll have to see what is going to happen with Strickler, but so far, the shooting scene was kind of hilarious, specially when they had to work around the clock and the circumstances to get out of trouble and prove Luna that he was crazy. Ugh, good the kid didn't blow up the whole operation.

It was nice to see Nicholas Lea, who I love in the X-Files as the hated and hottie Krycek. I can't wait for the new episodes!
  • Good episode.

I will agree with what people have been saying as the kid's performance was a bit lackluster, but I tend to be a little too harsh toward child actors, so I won't discount his efforts from my overall score. Overall this was yet another successful season three episode of Burn Notice. The show's alacrity and wit is just on fire right now as the writers have really found their groove and no just what to do with these characters and how to present them in a good, compelling manner. Burn Notice is definitely something I would call must-see TV in a decade where television is not what it once was.
  • Michael and crew take the case of a mother and two sons who are being abused and the sons are being taken away by their father. The father Eric Luna has ties to the mob and Michael wants to intimidate him into leaving town and leaving his wife alone.

Interesting episode involving some coercion to force the mark out of town by threats against his life. It turns out this lily white upstanding citizen is a former user, beats his wife and children, is the younger brother of an area mobster, and is divorcing his wife just to take the kids away from her. Nice guy huh?

Michael, Fi, and Sam decide to help the family get out from under this monster. They pull off an amazing group of stunts culminating in a fake shoot out where they all get killed (not really). Eric is in fear for his life and is ready to run when his brother gets wind of his running.

His brother Quinn (the mobster) uses Eric as the face man for his projects and can't afford for Eric to leave in the middle of business so he stops him and says they are going to look into what happened. Michael and the crew pull off an even more amazing scam by pretending to be a priest and some locals and cleaning up the shooting scene. They make Eric sound crazy and in the end he doesn't leave town he goes to a mental institution for observation. His wife April gets the children in the divorce and they get to start anew without Eric hanging over them.

Michael also checks out Tim Strickland the man trying to work with him and finds out he is really connected. At least it seems that way at this point. We'll see as Michael has agreed to work with him. He promises to get Michael what he wants which is back into the spy game.

Fun episode with some great stunts and scenarios. Very enjoyable to see the really scummy guy get taken down. The two end sequences were worth watching the episode alone. Thanks for reading...
