Andrew Strong is Michael's new CIA handler.
This episode's warehouse scenes and season 6 premiere's factory scenes were shot in the same location.
The character of Schmidt was written specially for Patton Oswalt who is a big fan of Burn Notice.
This was Ayn's first apperance on Burn Notice since Fiona was released from prison in Shock Wave.
The name of the bar, "Cantina el Cabezon" means "Fathead's Cantena" in Spanish.
In this episode, we finally meet Sam's girlfriend Elsa.
The security cards Oswald gives to Michael have a QR code. When scanned it reads: "Good Luck cracking this shit! These are some secure ass cards!"
Continuity: When Fiona and Nicki get off the motorcycle, their clothes are all dried, despite having jumped into the sea before riding it.
An interesting piece of trivia here, Jeffery Donnovan was a recurring guest star on Michael T. Weiss' series The Pretender. Donnovan played Weiss' brother.
Sam and Fiona enter the weapons factory by planting a smoke bomb that sets off the fire sprinklers. However, fire sprinklers are set off by heat. Smoke has no effect on them.
CIA agents Matt Bailey and Gabriel Manaro first appeared in the TV movie "The Fall of Sam Axe" where the events in Columbia they referred to occurred.
Goof: Jacob Starky's driver license shows his date of birth as 06-18-75, the issue date as 06-17-1985 and expires as 03-15-2015. Florida may very well have licenses that are valid for 30 years, but I doubt they issue them to people on the day before their 10th birthday.
In the final scene, the visible breath of Michael and the agent is faked. When the camera is on Michael, his breath goes off to Michael's right. When the camera is on the agent, it goes off to the agent's right, which is Michael's left, the opposite direction, meaning one of them is moving upwind.
