Good episode, Michael helps out a cells salesman get back money that he lost from a scam. That money he borrowed was from a loan shark and they want their money back, whole episode is beating the con artist which we seen Michael do before to another con. The relationship that ended with Michael and Fiona and how Michael screwed everything up is pretty annoying and one sided which should never got added in the story. If Michael would have said I want you to stay home and clean the house for the rest of your life and you do than you care about me more than anything but if you don't didn't I'm not number 1. Michael is not even working he's trying to catch the people that will eventually kill him, I don't understand why she won't back him up or support him. If you can't support the person you love and instead change who they are than leave, that's not love that is emotional attachment to change him into your image. I don't think anyone really see who Michael really is, All i see is everyone is creating their own image of Michael and forcing him to be that. If they want to bring the relationship thing into the show their going have to make another love interest for Fiona or Michael that understands these two people and maybe let them look at themselves how they were like in the relationship with Michael and Fiona and maybe make them see each other for who they are and not what they aren't.

I can't get enough of this show. This episode was very good and a well written plot.

Fiona, a young woman who can be hanging out with other young women, or even better, with young men, is spending an afternoon playing poker with older women. LOL! Anyway, Michael's mother still wants to know what's going on with them and finds out about it by Fiona. Very touching scene. She seems to have this tough facade, but she has a good heart and probably wants what most people want: being a number one is the life of the person you love. The case was excellent. Guy terribly dumb and naive. But he had a good heart and unfortunately that got into trouble. Despite everything, I like Madeline's concern for Michael. She only wants what's best for him.

It was above average when it comes to the second season of this show.

Definately not quite up there with the stunning first season of Burn Notice.

All about Andy who got himself into some trouble by first taking out a very large loan from some loan sharks, then taking all of that money and investing it into a scam, a fake nightclub to be exact.

Then obviously the loan sharks want there money back, and obviously Andy doesnt have it anymore and wont be getting it back.

Andy soon comes to Michael, asking for his help as usual and the story ends well for the good guy, as usual.

Michael helps a man that was conned to get his money back and pay off the loan sharks. I liked how Michael conned him in the end. It was funny how freaked out the conman got when Michael was saying that his friends wanted the money and killed the FBI agents outside. And the look on his face when the con's friends walked in! Halarious. Anyways, I also liked the backstory of Michael's mom trying to figure out why Fiona and Michael are not together anymore. It was really sweet. . . . Overall, pretty good story but great character development.
  • Michael tries to find out more about the enigmatic woman who issued his burn notice. He and Fiona also help out his mother's friend, who got conned out of $200k.

I love a show that keeps moving at a brisk pace and doesn't insult its viewers by explaining every step along the way. It's very satisfying when Michael concocts a scheme and everything falls into place at the end of the episode. The tongue-in-cheek humor was top-notch as usual, what with Michael likening sneaking into his mom's garage to infiltrating a military base. This episode was also somewhat touching, with a nice heart-to-heart scene between Fiona and Michael's mom about why Fi and Michael aren't an item anymore. Season 2 is definitely off to a great start -- can't wait to see more!

Sam was once again the comic center of the episode. First in the consulate and then convincing Michael to take the loan sharks on the inside of the house. The sting after Michael and Fiona's break up is getting pretty annoying. Micheal's mom catching him stealing car parts was pretty funny. This episode has a great The Sting feel to it. Too bad they couldn't fit the Entertainer into the episode. The civilians Michael has been helping are getting much more innocent. Fiona's accent and Michael being the mark was well written. Nothing like a Texas jaw. Overall is was a pretty good episode.

There's a bit of everything tossed into this one. Michael tries to close in on the woman who burned him by prying information about her out of a Pakastani spy, while his mother commits herself to rekindling the romance between Michael and Fiona. The focus of the episode is on Andy, a salesman who is either incredibly naive or supremely stupid. He borrows money from a loan shark, only to lose it to a con artist who convinces him to invest the borrowed funds in a Cuban night club, then swindles him with a fake FBI bust. The loan shark, of course, intends to break bones and such if he doesn't get his money back, and Andy turns to Michael for help. It's no surprise that Michael cons the con man, but the way he does it leaves a smile on your face. There are some very funny moments here, and Jeffrey Donovan, sliding through various personas as he deals with the con artist, the loan shark and the Pakistani, is amazing. He carries all of this off so effortlessly. A fine episode.

I really enjoyed this episode. This was my favorite episode of the new season so far. The storyline of the Loan Shark / Con Artist was fantasic I thought. The acting choices all around were excellent. I said they needed to be careful with the Fiona and Michael storyline at the beginning of the season and so far they are doing a good job by only giving it about eight or so minutes an episode. The next time they do get together the certainly need to stay together. I didn't mind that Carla was out of this episode, because she was still one of the preimere focuses of the epsiode. They have a really good epsiode structure going right now and the "Burn Notice" portion and the "Michaels life" portion are generally top notch. The "Minor/One Episode" case is where the show can lose some points, but this was not one of those episodes. Best standalone case of this season and has to be one of the tops of the series to date. The actor that played the con artist did a fantastic job and I liked the writing from the entire staff in writing this episode.

I can't say that I hated this episode but can't say I loved it either honestly. I like how it flowed a little out of character, more so one of those episodes that for once wasn't all about working the Burn Notice but about just helping out a little guy. I also liked that we got to see another layer to Michaels character especially when it comes to Fiona.

Now what made me kind of grind my teeth the whole time was I was hoping to find something out sooner in the episode about the women that burned him rather than waiting till the absolute end. What can ya do though?! My final score is a 9.2 and still see the season getting better.

I hope they bring Nate back also!
  • Michael is on the hunt to get info on the woman who he works for and thinks burned him. He also helps out a friend of his mothers son who got conned.

This episode takes us further along in the hunt to find out who Carla is. Going into a spies office in a consulate and getting damaging information out of an unlocked office and filing cabinet, come on we are not that stupid. That type of material is locked far away from all eyes, even other workers at the consulate.

I liked the con man getting conned. I know a lot of people who have gotten taken over the years, and getting back just once would be such sweet revenge.

The mother part of this series can be a bit trying, they should tone it down a bit.

Burn Notice is a clever combination of witty comedy and fresh drama. The show is probably a decade ahead of its time as I'm sure by 2018 nearly every drama will have a barrel of laughs and will revolve around a good guy who steals things.

As great as the show is, even the best program has off days. This episode seemed like it was a "vacation" for Michael Westen as there was limited action and a routine, generic plotline. Fiona and Bruce's roles in the show seemed very phoned in as well. I also didn't care for Michael's mother, but I usually don't like her anyway.

Tricia Helfer's heel presence was also missed in this episode. She plays an incredible villain and it is a shame that we are going to have to wait until the end of the season to find out more about her, although you have to credit the producers for developing suspense with her character. As unmemorable as this installment of Burn Notice was, it was still amusing and action-packed, as the USA Network original series is. And will all my bashing of the episode it still was one of the best TV shows of the week.

I thought this episode was one of the best so far in the series. I am still laughing with the whole "wassup waseed". That was just way to funny. Michaels mother is worried about Fiona and Michael and does not want to see them apart. Meanwhile the crew tries to help a man that was scammed out of 200k. They formulate a plan to get it back and they do. Michael reaches out to a Pakistani spy and gets the information he is looking for about Carla. I wonder if we will ever get to meet Sam's girlfriend. Michael does a texan accent in this episode that is pretty funny also. Very good episode!
