This show is awesome but sometimes it ends up being a bit repetitive , that's what happened with this episode. I didn't like this mission ,it seemed a bit unoriginal and forced. There wasn't any of Michael great weapon props or stunts and no great confrontation at all. The development of the main theme of the show was a bit better as finally Michael finds out who tried to kill him. Some passages of the episode where boring such as Madelaine repairing the car , Sam talking to the FBI agents and practically the whole Dumon story , the only part I liked was when they tossed him into the truck.moreless

Elena Amayo needs help when she sees Colonel Ponce, a former war criminal from South America, and the man who killed her family. He will face criminal charges if he can be sent back to face trial, but the State Department can't and won't help. Oh wait - that's the plot of Vengeance Unlimited S1 E7 'Security'. In this episode of Burn Notice, Mr. Chapel is replaced with Michael Westen, and Elena is now Claude. Other than that, the episodes are way too similar in plot and story, and I felt that I had seen the episode before.

It's probably not that Matt Nix copied the plot, but great minds think alike and Vengeance Unlimited and Burn Notice are very similar shows with similar protagonists and there's only so many places to take a show and characters like these, so similarities are bound to pop up. All in all, an ok episode of a great show, but I hope that there are not too many more cross-over episodes that feel like regurgitated VU.moreless

  • The last episode with the bank heist was one for the ages, this episode was a let-down in comparisonReview after the jump, if you need me I'll be hiding behind Fishe's one scary lady!moreless

Plot Synopsis (S02E14) Facing pressure from Sam and Fiona, Michael agrees to help bring a Haitian murderer to justice.
Meanwhile Michael attempts to follow the lead given to him by Jason, but all doesn't end well when he's met with a knife wielding assassin. Of course dead ends still lead to warehouses where the guy who tried to kill Michael might beturns out it's Victor!

More Thoughts on 'Truth and Reconciliation': - "Killers are, by and large, whining losers."
    - Liked seeing the FBI guys again in this one, and Sam's interaction with them
    - Plus Victor's back and parkouring all over the place! Woooo!

Bottom Line: A let-down after last week's excellent episode, but Fi was in top form in this one! Can't wait for more Victor in next week's ep!

Next week: Victor, two Sam's and Jay Karnes! A girl can die happy!

  • Great episode! I love this show. He's like a modern day MacGuyver. I haven't yet seen an episode I didn't like.

Spoiler alert! Amazing! Another great episode. Michael is his usual helpful self and a bit of a reluctant hero. Sam gets into a little trouble with Michael's mom. Fiona's reputation is well known and she says something very sweet(?) hopful at the end. A little more of Michael's mystery is revealed and he learns that he actually knows/has met the guy that's trying to kill him. I have one word - Michael Shanks! He makes a guest appearance at the end as Victor the guy that's trying to kill Michael. I can't believe it! He's the last person I expected to see on this show. Great idea though, I love Michael Shanks!moreless

  • Michael, Fiona, and Sam set out to bring a Haitian murderer to justice all the while Fiona is also looking into who paid to have Michael killed. Mom Westen's got problems of her own as well. Michael's got a lot to deal with...moreless

Some nice twists and turns to this episode in general. I especially enjoyed the blown cover sequence when the father of the man they were going after showed up. It is always interesting to see how they will get out of a real mess when one comes along. Everything is usually so planned that the spur of the moment action is a very interesting change.

The chemistry of the three main team characters is great. Fiona and Sam are getting to the point where they are really vying for Michael's attention. I also enjoyed Michael's mothers influence on this episode as it really told you something about his family life and some insight into Michael's psyche. So many times the Sharon Gless character can be a distraction, but she is quite interesting when given a real part in the story.

Michael seems to be getting himself into some tougher situations and I have enjoyed the sometimes complicated ways the writers have of getting him out of them whether talking or fighting his way out.

The end sequence when he finally see's the face he recognizes was great. It will be fun to see where all of this goes. Looks like a great twist to the few final episodes of the season is coming. Can't wait for next week.moreless

    • Claude is standing outside Duman's house, screaming thru the megaphone at Duman. Duman orders his men to take care of Claude and you see the men pull their semi-automatic pistols and put silencers on the weapons. However, when Michael jumps into Claude's car with Claude and drives away, you can clearly hear the gun fire of un-silenced pistols. Edit
    • When Fi is at the home of Jean-Pierre Duman to spy on him, she is wearing a very sexy black and grey dress. Two days earlier on 2/17/2009, The Mentalist episode, "Scarlet Fever" aired. In that episode at the end, when Jackie Shaper shows up at CBI HQ for her date with Wayne, she is wearing the exact same dress. The same dress is also worn by Peyton List (playing the character of Michelle Tournay) in episode 5, season 9 of CSI. Edit
