Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • This episode marks the abrupt departure of Shiroma (Tamlyn Tomita) and Marcase (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and introduces Dr Bryan Taft (Bradford Tatum).

  • QUOTES (8)

    • (Daniel asks if Michael wants out)
Michael: I work for you now, I go where you tell me.
      Daniel: Deep.

    • (Cassian tells Hailey to bring Taft, Hailey asks what if he doesn't want to come)
Daniel: Convince him, Mr Hailey, convince him.

    • (Bryan meets Cassian for the first time)
      Bryan: Who are you?!
Daniel: I'm sorry, did Mr Hailey use that tired old presidential letter thing again?

    • (Bryan wanders into deserted junkyard)
Bryan: Hey, I got a whole truckload of Rolls Royces out here, I'm letting them go for a buck a piece... Anyone wanna make a bid?!

    • (After Bryan phones with the answer to the case)
Daniel: Get your ass back here with my car.

    • Daniel: I don't have time to get clearance but I will if you make me.

    • (Daniel thanks Bryan for his help)
Bryan: I accept compliments, cash and government grants.

    • Bryan: Oh, no, I'm not falling for that presidential letter thing again.
Daniel: I think you ought to read this one - it seems there's a, I don't know, a 'discrepency' with your research funds... It's probably a mistake. Probably get cleared up in no time. Meanwhile, I could really use your help.
Bryan: You rotten son of a b**ch.
Daniel: Awww, come on, you hardly know me.

  • NOTES (1)

    • Goof (Factual Error): The passage of the meteor over the city is shown in a very unrealistic manner. For one thing, it is moving far too slowly, and it is making a hissing sound. Depending on size and composition, meteors travel at speeds of around 4 miles a second or more - blink and you miss it. At that speed, the only sound heard might be a sonic boom.

Of course, showing the meteor fall as it should would have been very disappointing to viewers because of the briefness of its passage.

    • Daniel: Awww, come on, you hardly know me.

This is exactly what Cassian said to Edward shortly after meeting him also for the first time, in 'Silent Tower' when Edward had a similar reaction to Cassian.

      Edward: I don't like you.
Daniel: Awww… you hardly know me.
