5/20/97Prison officials experiment on prisoners then several prisoners escape and when their leader becomes ill, one of the prisoners knows of Taft and the escaped prisoners kidnap him, insisting he treat the dying man. Cassian and Hailey must find Taft, before the gang members kill him.
5/13/97Contaminated pearls cause an outbreak of drug-resistant cholera in Detroit. Hospitals are quickly swamped with cases with patients dying of extreme dehydration. A teen boy who has a natural immunity to the cholera has the pearls but refuses to hand them over, intending to use them to get rid of his mother's abusive boyfriend. Hailey must face tough memories of his childhood in Detroit.moreless
5/6/97Several people become ill from a chemical weapon which is stored at a nearby military base. Though the source is not from the base, a militia group who wants to steal the weapon wants people to believe it is.
4/29/97A horrible flesh-eating bacteria from contaminated Yugoslavian tattoo ink appears in city hospitals. Doctors are initally baffled as to the source as the tattoos are destroyed by the bacteria. The case becomes personal for Taft when his athlete nephew is one of the victims.
2/18/97A panic is triggered when a new diet aid appears to have deadly side-effects.
2/11/97The team is called in when several cases of massive organ failure are reported among surfers in California.
2/4/97The team is called in when cases of devastating bone demineralisation are reported. Michael meets a famous singer, who is also involved.
1/28/97When Shiroma and Marcase are suddenly reassigned, Cassian has to recruit a new doctor to replace them. He finds Dr Bryan Taft, a brilliant young researcher with a colossal ego and an attitude problem. The new team must obtain answers when a crashed meteorite starts killing anyone who comes in contact with it.moreless

11/19/96A man with a grudge contaminates the blood supply in Orlando, Florida with an extremely dangerous form of malaria and frames the director of the blood bank for the crime.
11/12/96Cassian asks the team for a personal favour when his sick niece enters the compound of a self-proclaimed faith healer. Marcase uses drugs to make himself appear deathly ill and infiltrates the compound, trying to discover whether the healer is a charlatan or is twisting a genuine gift for profit.
10/29/96Cassian faces death as the Dawn infect him with the Mayan virus. Marcase and Shiroma race to find a cure while Hailey tries to track down Cassian's ex-lover who was believed to have died of the Mayan. The agenda of the Dawn becomes clear.

9/3/96A virus crisis team is formed by the White House to deal with unusual bio-hazards. The team's first assignment is to deal with an archaeologist who is acting as if possessed, the entity is claiming to be a 15 000 year old intelligent super-virus which controlled the other major viruses.
