After investigating a rash of robo-homocides, Team Lightyear discover that NOS-4-A2's loose on TradeWorld with a self-appointed "slayer" on his floating tail -- Savy SL-2, a human orphan that was adopted by a robot couple. NOS-4-A2 had "vamped" her adoptive parents, so she decided to step in as a vigilante vampire-robot-slayer (...a la Buffy...). With her assistance, they hunt down NOS-4-A2, fight his horde of enslaved robots, and defeat him, freeing those robots that were in the grip of his dark forces (...including XR who, as usual, was an easy mark for NOS-4-A2...).moreless
  • Look out, Buffy, there's a new vampire slayer in town . . .

    "Great"
It's another of the episodes featuring NOS-4-A2, so it's one of the better eps of the series. In The Slayer, the energy vampire's loose on Tradeworld sucking robots dry, but he's made the mistake of attacking one tough little tomboy's adoptive parents. Then Buzz and XR enter the picture.

The interplay between Savy and Buzz is highly amusing, with her streetsmart ways coming into conflict with the Ranger's more straight laced way of doing things. XR and NOS-4-A2 are golden in this episode too, with both getting some great lines.

The animation here is decent compared to other episodes, not too many errors or other goofs can be seen.moreless
