Caboose

Show Summary

Caboose is a public access music series featuring live musical performances from a Duluth, Minnesota band and their invited guests. PBS produces this local show, broadcasting half-hour segments of Coal Car Caboose and friends discussing local music and performing their latest hits. Lead vocalist Steve Lueck takes the lead on the first show, introducing the Detroit band, Aaron Kaercher and His Crazy Neighbors. The two groups play a rock and roll set together before introducing their second guest, singer-songwriter, Sarah Krueger. By the end of the show, Caboose bassist, Keith Yanes, percussionist, Luke Nyen, and trombonist, Dave Adams join the ensemble cast for a grand-finale performance of a Peter, Paul and Mary song. The group adds Patrick Sunderland, AlBone Nordehn and Dave Adams to the band by mid-season, playing songs from Caboose's most-recent album, Cultural Heritage. Other Midwest bands that appear on the show include The Mark Anderson Trio, The Alrights and The Gladstones.
