    Although I loved both the lead detectives on this series and think they complemented one another extremely well, I have to admit that I'm more a fan of the tough, yet vulnerable Christine Cagney. Of the two detectives, which was your favorite and why?

    Hmmm I love them both! At different times in my life, I've identified with them each in a personal way, I guess that's why I've been able to enjoy the show over the years, again and again. My bf says I'm more of a "mary beth" character because I'm good at talking to people (I'm a counselor by profession) - but since I'm 30 and still unmarried - I still consider myself a "chris" character lol - good question!

    Oh My ! Why to chose ? They're both great in their own special way. I think that's what makes that show really special, two strong women characters very very different so you can identify to either one of them and still love them both...
    yeah, I think who I love the most in that show is their relationship...and I said "who" 'cause I think it's almost a character by itself.
    Oh Boy I miss that show

    Im a Tyn Daly fan til the end, but the charaters complement eachother so well, I just can't choose. I guess it depends on the actualmeaning of the question- I've always identified more with Mary Beth, but there are always those Christine moments in everyone's life.

    I love them both; I can't choose one. Those two are like fish and water, snow and winter, lemon and chocolate. They complement each other so beautifully. I sometimes forget that they are not even biological sisters. I like how Chris is like Mary Beth's older sister and is fiercely protective of her.

    Difficult to choose between Chris and Mary Beth but I think I choose Cagney because she was a more interesting character than Mary Beth. Chris didn't behave many times in a good way and sometimes was rude and selfish but hey, I think that was because she wasn't as tough as she thought.
