      • Although this episode appears in schedule listings as "Caillou the Artiste," the title-display shown before the game segment reads "Caillou the Artist."

      • Caillou talks about both his Daddy and Rosie at the end of the show.

      • Caillou hosts a new game at the end of the episode in which the viewer assists in finding items hidden in various scenes. Items found include Mommy's keys, Daddy's shoe and Rexy.

      • Caillou and Mommy sing a song called "We're Cooking" in-between the second and third stories. Interestingly, there is a song on the "Caillou's Favorite Songs" albums that probably would have fit just as well, if not better --- "The Recipe for Having Fun." Like "What's Cooking," this song is also about Caillou and Mommy making a cake. It is possible that they couldn't acquire the rights to use it on the show, or it didn't fit within the time requirements.

      • Caillou: Daddy's shirt's all messy. Mommy: That's okay, Caillou. Paint shirts are supposed to get messy. Shows how hard you worked on the painting. Caillou: Messy's good! Mommy: (giggles) Maybe for paint shirts, but you still need to wash your face and hands before lunch.

      • Narrator: Caillou was having a hard time figuring out what to paint for Grandma. Mommy: Hello, Caillou. Caillou: What should I paint, Mommy? Mommy: What about... a tree? Caillou: I want to use lots of colors. What can I paint that has lots of colors? Mommy: You could always make an abstract painting.

      • Narrator: The three boys had a good time trying each other's pizzas and Caillou learned that there really is more than one way to make a pizza.

      • Caillou: Broccoli? Carrot sticks? They don't go on pizzas. Narrator: Caillou was upset that the twins were making their pizzas all wrong.

      • Caillou: I'm gonna make a sun, to melt all the snow.
