      • At the end of an episode, Caillou hosts a game in which the viewer is shown the head of a person. They then try to match a body and legs to the person.

      • Between the second and third segments, Cailliou sings a song called "Cailou the Fireman."

      • Although Caillou has met the firechief's dog, Sparky, in a previous episode, no reference is made to it in this episode.

      • During the segment "Caillou the Firefighter," Caillou and Leo agree to take turns wearing Caillou's firefighter's hat. At one point, when the fire alarm is being tested, both Caillou and Leo are seen wearing firefighter's hats. When the "camera angle" changes again, Leo is no longer wearing one. The same mistake is made later when the dog, Sparky, bounds up to Caillou and Leo. This time, only Leo should be wearing a hat, but instead both he and Caillou are.
