Jenny helps deliver a baby girl to a young couple. However a most horrendous thing happens, the baby is snatched from her pram just outside the couples house. The mother slowly sinks into a depression while the entire neighborhood stages a search party for the young child. Meanwhile Cynthia is thrown into the middle of an heartbreaking case when a young pregnant wife suffers from eclampsia. Cynthia tries to help the womans husband and is touched by the mans love and devotion to his wife. In the meantime the nurses of Nonnatus House go to a dance.
