Second episode, and the show is slowly finding its path. Talking about acting one person needs to be mentioned first. Eva Green is truly superb as a sorceress of the dark kind. Shame if she doesn't get a role in the future which grants her an Oscar or an Emmy. Seldom has beauty elevated one's performance so much as when looking at her haunting eyes. Jamie Campbell Bower has preformed well in the role of a young Arthur who have just learned that he is the rightful king of a nation. Judging many of the other actors in central roles is hard because they haven't received enough screen time yet to warrant a fair review.

One particular point of enjoyment in the show is the cinematography, which was showcased in this episode. The imagery created by the wide angled camera shots of the landscape is extremely beautiful and impressive. It brings a welcome change to those images in many other shows which seem artificially enhanced to look beautiful. The imagery in Camelot seems real, and genuine.

The plot is still at its infancy, but already now one can feel that it's thickening up. It will be interesting to see what dark forces are summoned against Arthur in upcoming episodes.moreless
