Camelot is a musical which premiered on HBO in 1982. This was a live Broadway performance filmed for HBO. It is a musical version of the classic tale of King Arthur of Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table. Arthur (Richard Harris), who became King of Camelot after the death of the father he never knew King Uther of Britain, is in love with Guinevere (Meg Bussert). She is also in love with one of the Knights of the Round Table, Lancelot (Richard Muenz). The movie Camelot is divided into two parts. The first part starts with the wedding of Arthur to Guinevere and the early parts of their marriage. It describes how Arthur forms the Knights of the Round Table and how Lancelot joins them. The story builds on the developing feelings between Guinevere and Lancelot. The second part of the story focuses on the betrayal of Arthur and how he has to choose the punishment for the crime of adultery. The kingdom begins to fall apart as does the Round Table. This story focuses on the complicated love triangle among King Arthur, Guinevere, and Lancelot. The story promises to have romance, sword fighting, and lots of suspense.moreless
