  • Lights Out and Swimming Buddy were two preety good episodes.

Lights Out was preety funny. I liked the way Lumpus and Slinkman were potrayed in this episode. I do analyse that Lumpus is like the Squidward of Camp Lazlo because of his attitude. I liked Clam, Lazlo and Raj's attempts to let the lights go on and the way Slinkman made fun of Lumpus was unexpected. The overall episode was great until the end when the telescope fell on Lumpus. I thought that that ending was unnescary because he already missed his comet. So, this segment was great but i really did dislike the ending. I would have liked it to be that Lumpus cried and the episode just ending there.

Swimming Buddy is the first Raj-based episode that I have seen and I found it to be quite good. Edward and the others were really potrayed well and I just cannot stress on how well the humor was handled in the episode.

Overall, these are two good episodes that are really funny.moreless
  • Lumpus tries to get the Jelly Bean scouts to shut off their lights so he can see a comet named after him/Raj is afraid to swim in the lake so Lazlo and Clam try to help him face his fearmoreless

This was so funny. When I first watched it it was On Demand so I watched it twice. I love episodes like these because you don't know what the heck is going to happen to the campers/councelors (poor Lumpus, Pierre and No-Neck) but you know it is going to be hilarious.
  • It was so Funny.

I liked the part where Clam walks on the water and the holy music plays. That was one really big telescope used to see a comet but when the Bean scoutes saw it it was so huge they didn\'t need one. My favorite quote was when they were discized as 2 squrile scoutes and Raj was a log and lazlo said where just walkin our log and one of the others said I havent walked my log in a while.moreless
  • obviously a pure classic.

Light\'s Out/ Swimming Buddy is a great episode. It\'s about lumpus trying to watch a comet named after him but lazlo, clam, and raj won\'t turn there lights out. Very funny and an original and funny story. And Swimming buddy is about the camp taking a swimming test but raj is afraid to get afraid. And after making a bet with lifeguards lazlo and clam are determined to help raj pass the testmoreless
  • Lots of movie refrences in this one like Jaws, chariots of fire, space oddyess, and a bit of strar wars. (Star wars refrence, Darth vader music can be heard while Raj's underwater.) Need to watch. Don't go saying its badmoreless

Raj is the best in this episode go watch now check when on at Clam rocks my sock by the way. The story of lights out is Lunpus (L-o-m-p-u-s)has a comet named after him. He wants to see it badly but Lazlo, Raj and Clam won't go to bed and turn thier lights out. Swimming buddy is Raj has to prove he is not a larva by swimming unfortanaly, he's terrified of swimming. So Lazlo and Clam decide to help him out. A very funny episode with a moral. Belive in yourself, and you won't be a larva. Chip and skip are brefly seen in swimming buddy with Edward. Remember, check for when it wil air. By the way, in the latest Kids magezine issue, they have an ex-clusive Camp lazlo episode thats shown sometimes. (It'll be creditded as a new episode on July 22 2005. Its called Its no picnic, whoch aired after the premire of Aloha, Scooby-doo, and after Antz on July 16 2005.) Thanks for reading.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • Raj: Don't shoot the moon, we looney for the luna!

This brief singing part by Raj when they thought Lumpus was going to shoot the moon has been extended and is being used out of context for one of the new summer 2006 bumpers for Cartoon Network. The summer theme focuses upon a single easily identifiable character against a red background doing and saying things at commercial breaks or at the start of a new program.

    • Lumpus's mother and father wears glasses just like him.

    • Lazlo seems to get in trouble with all the camp counselers (even the lifeguards).

    • Goof:
When Lumpus says "What do you mean, 'the blanket'?", his glasses are white instead of yellow.

    • Goof:
When Raj finds out about the marshmallow cake, at first, he has his scout uniform. Then he has his bathing suit.

  • QUOTES (13)

    • Lumpus: (sing) Twinkle, twinkle little...... comet. How I wonder what you are.

    • Raj: Don't shoot the moon! We're looney for the luna!

    • Lumpus' Mom: Aw, happy birthday, honey. I named a comet after you.
Young Lumpus: But I wanted a bicycle.
Lumpus' Father: You are getting a comet and you're gonna like it!

    • Raj: (staring down the pool) It looks like a peanut!

    • Almondine: I have not taken my log for a walk in a long time.

    • Lazlo: Take the wet sponge!
      Raj: Ahhh!
      Lazlo: Cup of water....
      Raj: Ahhh!
      Lazlo: A drop of water...
      Raj: Ahhh!
      Lazlo: Molecule...
Raj: Ahhh! Wait.. what kind of molecule?
      Lazlo: Water....
      Raj: Ahhh!

    • Lazlo: Now, repeat after me... You are one with the lake!
Raj: I am one with the lake!

    • Raj: I am stuck .like a salamander.

    • Lifeguard Pierre: "We'll give him another chance, but if he clean our socks by..uh...licking them!"

    • Lifeguard Pierre: (Ranking Chip or Skip) Uh, sea cow.

    • Raj: It's my blanket, sir! It's horrible!
Scoutmaster Lumpus: What do you mean the blanket?!
Raj: This is my Monday blanket. What I need is my Friday blanket!
Scoutmaster Lumpus: Then why don't you exchange blankets?!
      Raj: Right away, sir!
      (Changes blankets)
      Scoutmaster Lumpus: Lights out!!
      (Raj turns off the light)

    • (Slinkman forms his hands to make a shadow version of Lumpus)
Slinkman: Grumble grumble grumble. I am very annoyed. Slinkman. SLINKMAN!
      Lazlo: I love this part!
(A shadow version of Slinkman walks in on screen)
      Slinkman: R-Reporting for duty. Sir.
Slinkman: (as Lumpus) I thought I told you to tell those jelly beans light out.
Slinkman: (As shadow version of Slinkman) I did sir, but they were scheduled for a puppet show
      (A light turns on)
      Lumpus: SLINKMAN!
      Slinkman: Uh...uh...reporting for duty. Sir.
Lumpus: I thought I told you to tell those jelly beans light out!
Slinkman: I did sir, but they were scheduled for a puppet show tonight.

    • Lumpus: What is wrong with these Bean scouts?!

  • NOTES (7)

    • Raj running in slow motion is a reference to the TV show "Baywatch".

    • Walk on Water: During the swimming test, Clam walks on the lake. A holy aura sound is heard and the comment "Holy mackerel" is made. This is a reference to the famous story where Jesus Christ walks on water out to his disciples and calls Peter to him which allows him to walk on the water.

    • Swimming Ability Levels: The three-tiered swimming ability level system used to classify the bean scouts (Larva, Sea Cow and Shark) is very much like the system used by the boy scouts, the only difference being the names. (Non-swimmer, Beginner, Swimmer.) The test is taken early in the week and determines what privileges you have at the lake.
