It's Disney, and Disney equals pop music.

What, were they supposed to call it 'Camp Over-Produced Sugary Pop'? Of course there is no real rock music, it's Disney. Camp Rock is just a catchy name, it really doesn't have anything to do with the music played in the movie.

Well then they should have named it Camp hip hop or something. They also shouldn't have said "this movie features many types of music: rock,..." and finally you can't have a rock along woth no rock. Ok now that I've ranted I'm letting it go.

Does it really matter? I mean, sure the name may not equal the music but does it matter? Its not like most of the fans (young Disney Channel fans) aren't stopping to think "Oh, dang! This isn't rock! This is pop!"

Yeah, it matters. Some of the viewers may have expected actual rock music, but no. Instead, they got a ton of pop songs.

Will you please quit bugging her? Disney doesn't play real hard rock, because a lot of its viewers are younger kids and don't want to hear heavy rock music with screaming and I don't think the parents would want smaller kids listening to music like that. I never liked that music when I was little. It hurt my ears.

Ummm what you're describing sounds more like heavy metal not rock. Tom Petty, The Beatles, The Police are all classic examples of wail free rock. Rock is my favorite music and I can't stand pop. Anyways I watched the movie because I thought there was going to be rock music. I was disappointed so I started this thread and I respect everybody's different opinions. So be respectful guys ok.

My opinion is: I really dislike the false advertising.

Careful now. I mentioned the "false advertising" card on another thread re: Disney's misleading "STARRING the Jonas Brothers" ad and was accused of "bashing" by the die hard CR fanATICS.
