Canadian Idol

This was the performance show for the top 3; they performed Pop Standards under the tutelage of Tony Bennett. Each one sang two songs.



Craig was the first up; his first song was "The Way You Look Tonight" and his second was "Danny Boy"; both songs that he sang were fairly slow, and quite frankly, by the time he was part-way into Danny Boy, I was bored. Eva sang "God Bless The Child" and one other... both were good, and she looked amazing as well; that never hurts, although it always bugs me when the judges only comment on how the singers look.



Tyler, however, was the huge surprise; he looked the part and he sang the part, but more importantly, he MOVED the part. That boy went out and bought himself some rhythm! He actually danced during his second song! He did "Just A Gigalo/I Ain't Got Nobody" and "It Had To Be You." He danced, he wiggled his eyebrows, he introduced the band... he was just all that! If tonight's show were the finale, he might well win it.



Based on tonight's performances, I think that Craig will be the one to go home tomorrow, leaving the finale a contest between Eva and Tyler, which is always what I thought it would be.
