Um no Alex was taken in by Pancho he's an adoptive son so it's not gross on a biological level and you shouldn't expect American tv let alone Cbs to do something that out there.

Alex, as has been pointed out, was adopted and arent blood relatives. But it is creepy nonetheless since they grew up as brother and sister. Its sort of like Marsha and Gregg Brady getting married. Why they felt the need for adding this Ick factor is a real mystery.

I don't see it as a problem. Though Pancho took Alex in has his son,it has been established in dialogue many times that he was never fully accepted as a Duque. So basically, Isabel did not treat him, no did she act toward him, as a brother. Therefore, there was no Greg/Marsha scenario to me.

Alex came to America from Cuba in 1962 for Operation Pedro Pan as a toddler. He spent the next six years in an orphanage (with that cop friend of his) before Pancho and Amalia Ducque took him in after his parents never arrived for him. He would have been maybe eleven or so years old at the time. Alex was not officially adopted but became a Ducque through marriage.

I think it is kinda romantic that they have known each other forever and he is no blood relation to her. Just think of it as High School Sweethearts.....

That depends how you look at it, I'm adopted to and by law I can marry my sister, but since we are raised as brother and sister my stomach rumbles everytime I even think about it, but if Alex and Isobel were just raised as family but with that amount Alex wasn't her brother, it's not that weird.

Where did you find out all this, I don't remember them saying it on the show? I didn't know that about his cop friend, did they reveal that in some show that I missed? Thanks for the info, Alex is my favorite character.
