Episode Recap
Elizabeth is having a nightmare that is all too real. She flashes back to the day in the park with her son, Sam. She looks down to answer her phone and Sam vanishes. In the background, a dark van is seen pulling away. She is then startled awake and her day begins. Just as Elizabeth is headed back into the office, she is faced with what she thinks is going to be the most difficult client of the day, that is until Louis Minot walks in the door. After waiting for Elizabeth to finish up with her previous clients, Louis is finally escorted into her office. They talk a little bit about the picture that Sam painted, and then the topic shifts. Louis explains to her that he knows where a body of a missing man is. Elizabeth takes his word for it, once he opens the bag to reveal a human corpse. Soon, the CSI and D.A. Williams are on the scene. Russell asks Elizabeth not to get involved, but she can't resist once she sees Louis' constitutional right being violate. Louis leads them to a vacant lot and right to the spot where he dug up the body. He explains that the dead person lead him there and that he talked to him. Louis is immediately arrested and the associates at Canterbury want to plead not guilty with reasons of insanity. Elizabeth is determined to find another way. Later on, Matt and Elizabeth have a heart to heart talk about their missing son and their broken relationship. Everyone is starting to think that Louis really did it, including Elizabeth, once he is diagnosed with a brain tumor, that causes hallucination and someone's personality to totally change. Now Elizabeth thinks that the old Louis committed the murders, not the new Louis. As soon as she finds this out she is summoned back the judge's chamber and is shocked to find out that more bodies with the same M.O. have been recovered in places Louis told others to look. Elizabeth is sure he did it now, that is until she thinks she has an alibi for him at the hospital. Once she gets to the psych ward, she finds out the records were recently updated by Dr. Petch. Soon it is revealed in a deposition that Dr. Petch is really the killer and the so called Bogeyman who told Louis where all the bodies were buried. Elizabeth caught him by saying that all the victims were raped and Dr. Petch got really mad and denied that they were. He tried to cover his tracks by saying it's not in the killer profile to rape them. Louis later gives Elizabeth hope that Sam may still be alive.
