WTF are you talking about? The nude scenes caught you off guard? I can't believe you find THAT offensive when, during that same scene, there's a **** murder which seems to be absolutely random. That's the only thing that should make you feel offended. Otherwise there's something VERY WRONG with you...

    Agreed!

It has potential but I'm not sure what to make of it!

Uhm, I've never bothered watching Battlestar Galactica. (Well, I saw the movie that later turned into the 2003 series. But I didn't like it enough to check out the series) But I really liked the first episode of Caprica, to a degree that even makes me consider checking out season 1 of BSG. (All the praise BSG gets doesn't exactly make me want to check it out any less)

So yeah, pretty much way better than I expected.

The first hour was painfully slow to watch, the second hour much much better. It has a lot of potential, hopefully more than SG Universe.

It was pretty densely written -- pilot episodes are always lumbered with establishing the setting and main characters. That said, I'm shocked that they got as far as dl'g Zoe's avatar into a Centurion that quickly. It makes me wonder where they're going to take it from there.

It's moderately interesting, but I wonder how they can sustain the interest with zero likable characters. I don't know if it's the writing or the acting or the directing, but I honestly don't like anyone on this show. Contrast that with BSG, where everyone was likable, including the bad guys.

Yeah, this is no BSG-quality show...

ROFL. I couldn't agree more. There really is something wrong with society when Nudity, a completely natural state, and legal in many locations around the world, is seen as more disturbing then violent murder, which is generally unacceptable most anywhere you go. Saw is a hit franchise, but porn is a backroom taboo? truely a poor look into modern society.

As to Caprica, I really like it a lot, though I fear after the first few episodes, that it may be too slow paced for our ADHD generation to sit through and so will get dropped prematurely.

Zero likable characters? I'm guessing that you don't like a show with realistic teenage characters ( Zoe: "birth control" *smirk* ) who are also the central people in the story. This isn't typical technology driven Sci-fi like "Trek"-drek or SG and it doesn't have only characters over 30 like BSG did. This series is awesome & gets better every week.
