i have only watched a couple of episodes of this show. and i will have to say that for the mid sixties it is pretty good. not to mention the great theme song. the animation is beyond crude, but still this is where marvel comics on tv got its start.
i just love these animation serries from these real good comics like captain america and batman and such.
the should just bring out a new serie out from capatain america like they did with batman because now there is new series from batman that start all over just like the movie batman begins did but still retains all that was good about the previous seriies but improved on it a lot.
this exactly same thing was also done with batllestar galactica where the original 1978 series didn\'t make it past one season and the 2003 series is a big hit.
if they could do the same thing with this series that would be way cool not because this 1960\'s animation series was so bat but there are only like a verry few episodes and what better and more patriotic animation series could we have on TV in the current times like this one.
and while there making a new animation TV series they should also make a new movie using the same style and technics and effects they did in batman begins.
He is in prison for breaking the AVO and that just by trying to call her. She is upset about it and want to help him. It is just so unfair on him all this and he asks her if they can use her money shes going to spend on buying Alexes part of the gym to buy him out. He tells her that she will get her money back because he knows Kane is going to win the court case and it is important to him that his friends have trust in him. She is not sure if getting him out of prison is the right thing, but she agree with him and gives him the money to get him home.
So classic that its age really shows. The animation to this show is about on par with poor, but the fact that it stays so true to the comic book is a bonus that any fan or comic book nerd would love. The animation is done by a technique called xerography in which there is copies of pictures for frames then penciled over. As a result, the animation style looks atrocious. Yet, beside the fact that this show is not an artwork masterpiece, it does have one saving grace. This show stays so true to the comic book and the comics of the 60's that it is something that deserves the attention of all comic book fans. The voices are pterry close to what I would imagine the characters to sound like and the characters are portrayed in the same light with the same personalities I pictured as well. Overall, this 1 aspect pulls the show out of the pool of poor television and into a realm of mediocrity to decency.
My final review: If you are looking for a well animated version of Captain America, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a piece of superhero history that stays true to the comic books then this is a show that you must see at least once. On those standards, this show is not great, but not absolutely horrible either.
When Captian Amercia Throws His Mighty Sheild,All Those Who Oppose His Sheild Must Yeild, For He'll Fight Till The Red And The White And The Blue Will Come Through When Captian Amerca Throws His Mighty Sheild...
Proberly the best thing of this cartoon was the theme song, the proberly one of the most popular Marvel heros of all time, starred in this poorly made in moving carton, while the art was like the comics, a major plus.
Like the other 4 heros,Iron Man,Submariner,Thor, and Hulk, the stories came out in 3 parts.
Back in 1966,I didn't really realize that the movement was not really there.
