Goof: The song for this episode is misquoted. The scene took place in elementary school, but the song mentions only high school.
Why does the Princess expel the Koopa Twins at the end of the episode? Judging from Hop's reaction to the volcano overflowing, they apparently never intended for it to do so, and adding to that, it was entirely accidental!
(Hip and Hop stand with fireballs in front of Oogtar who's hanging upside down trapped in vines)
Hip: Throwing it on target!
Hop: Five. Four. Three. Two.
Both Hip and Hop: One.
Hip: Wow.
Hop: That looks like a blast.
Hip and Hop: Lets go.
King Koopa: You will not go to school no kid of mine is gonna learn good citizenship.
Hop: Oh come on King dad.
King Koopa: No you will grow up to be a big mean koopa. Just like your dad.
Hip: You liked to do.
Hop: Lying.
King Koopa: Of course it's an exellant trace. No school understand.
Hip and Hop: Yes King Dad.
Princess Toadstool: No school tomorrow, boys.
Hop: You mean it's a holiday?
Princess Toadstool: No, you're expelled FOREVER!
Last appearance of Oogtar.
Hip and Hop's names in the video games are Lemmy and Iggy, respectively. Changed for licensing reasons and as a play on the phrase 'hip hop'.
Featured song: Rockin´ the High School.
This is the only Super Mario World episode that features Hip and Hop Koopa although they do make a brief non-speaking appearance in "Rock TV", and with that said, this is the very last appearance of any of the Koopalings (currently) in cartoon animation.
