In the scene where the Princess hits the block, little Marios comes out of it. A similar block would later appear in Super Paper Mario.
At the wrestling scene when the camera faces yoshi and the princess entering the ring, the big green dino is on top of Mario with his knees on the floor, but when the camera angle changes, the big green dino's butt is now instantly on top of Mario's legs.
At one point when they're getting their butts kicked by the Tyrannosaurus Twins, Mario and Luigi incorrectly swap colour schemes on their caps and overalls when they hit the canvas.
Mario: Ten Clams! I mean coins!
Koopa(As Robby Rockwell): Clams! Coins! Old Socks! We're giving 'em away! Here's your Rock TV sir, Have a nice day!
Mario: Hmm… Ten coins down? Huh, that's cheap!
Luigi: But a coin a minute, Mario? That's gonna end up fast!
(There's a flashback, and Mario and Luigi appear as Mario looks at a piece of paper)
Luigi: Remember that trouble we got into in that speak to Santa hotline back in Brooklyn?
(Mario gasps in surprise)
Mario: Phone bill?! Amount due: $1,295.31?!
(he faints and the flashback ends)
Koopa(Disguised as Robby Rockwell): Next!
Luigi: Hey, Mario, how come his lips aren't moving when he talks?
Mario: Maybe he's been watching too many cartoons.
(RIM SHOT!)
Mario: Hey, where's the remote?
Koopa: You'll have to get on the waiting list, it'll be a few thousand years.
Koopa (disguised as Robbie Rockwell): Next!
Luigi: Hey Mario, how come his lips don't move when he talks?
Mario: Maybe he's been watching too many cartoons.
(Rimshot plays in the background)
Oogtar: Far out! Dinobunga!
King Koopa's TV show:
And now it's time for everybody's favorite Kooparobics show, Koopa Sez! All right, everybody. Koopa says hop on your feet. It's time to trim all that ugly fat. NOW! Koopa sez jump up and down and kick your legs around. Come on you lazy cave potatoes. Koopa says, walk like a Chickadactyl. Don't you love it? (laughing) Hey, and now, here's a real special game Koopa wants everybody to play. Listen up real good... Koopa sez, everybody go to the Dome Castle and get Mario and Luigi and bring them to me.
Mario: Hey, maybe we'll see you on PBS!
Big Mouth: (announcing) Welcome to "All-Star Prehistoric Wrestling", a splendid gladiatorial spectacle, a fabulous fight to the finish! In this corner, in the pink and purple trunks with the orange ruffles, weighing in at 90,000 pounds each, the totally terrible twosome, titanic, thunderous, thumping, throttling, towering, thrusting, tripping top heavy, top notch, top fight, tip toe, tip top, top tip...
Koopa: Top this, turkey mouth!
Big Mouth: Wait, I'm just about to finish! This big, BIG finish! In this corner, the Tyrannosaurus Twins, a totally terrific twosome, a terrifying...
(Koopa picks him up and throws him. He returns and continues announcing as cavepeople cheer.)
Big Mouth: Thank you, thank you. And in this corner, from the bucolic world of Brooklyn in that rollicking real world, these two loud, bungling, faucet fixing freaks, those forever foolish, fur-brained fish heads... Fish heads? A foolish, flabby, bug-eating... (A Tyrannosaurus Twin throws him) YARG!
Koopa: (takes the mike) Ladies and gentlemen... the mindless Mario Bros.!
Last time Mario uses the cape.
We learn that Mario and Luigi got a major phone bill for a speak-to-Santa hotline back in Brooklyn worth $1,295.31.
Last appearances of Kooky and Kootie Pie Koopa in animation (currently), although they didn't have a speaking role in this episode.
This is the only episode to feature all 7 Koopa Kids. However, only Bully speaks.
Featured song: Ready to Go.
Bowser: You can own your own Koopasonic Rock TV...
Koopasonic plays on the name Panasonic, a Japanese electronics manufacturer.
Mario: I want my Rock TV!
Mario's line refers to MTV's old catchphrase, "I Want My MTV".
Mario: Hey, maybe we'll see you on PBS!
This is a reference to Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, because it airs on PBS now.
Bowser: On Rock TV, friends, you can watch all kinds of wonderful shows. Great shows like "Mr. Koopa's Neighborhood"!
As Bowser says this line, he dresses up like Mr. Rogers, the main person on PBS's then-uncancelled show, "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood".
Bowser: With stars like Vanilla Ice Age!
Bowser dresses up as one of the guys from Vanilla Ice as he says this line. Earlier in 1991, Vanilla Ice had performed the song "Ninja Rap" in the second Ninja Turtles movie, so it's fairly obvious where this reference comes from.
Koopa: With stars like Vanilla Ice Age!
The name "Vanilla Ice Age" is also related to the game Super Mario World, so it's a Vanilla Ice parody that has a name similar to the SMW levels.
