This link conferms it. Captain N the show you have been waiting on DVD for a long time is finally gonna be released on DVD. Shout factory also said that they are gonna put as much special features as they can. It feels so nice now that we know that Captain N is being released on DVD this year.

When will it be released this year?

Will it be all 34 episodes on it?

Will it have the old NBC promo ads on it?

Will it have commentray on it?

I'm very excited, This was one of the shows I grew up with everyday when I got home from school when it aired on syndication. IF this is coming out then the other two Mario Series may be with it Than I could have the whole Nintendian (I just like that from Futurama :lol batch of DIC shows. I really hope The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 comes soon after it, my bootleg of the series sucks, Super Mario World I want to come out soon to, but not for me (I have an awesome bootleg of that show) I want it to come out for everyone else since it's the only Nintendo series to never actually be released on video here in the US.

But still, this is a great joy hearing about Captain N, That is an awesone show.

I was going to make my own bootleg DVD of Captain N and I was going to make a really good DVD menu here's what my DVD menu would look like

It's inside Kevin's room, The TV would play a  clip of the selected captain n episode which would be the episode selection on the left would be the video game cartriges, The NES would be the play all section and the closet would be the bounus features and when you select the closet, it would open up and show the bounus feature. Also when you select the episode, the game (or episode) cartridge would pop right into the NES and it would show a finger that would press the power button and then it would play the episode.

I kind of doubt that they would put my idea which would totally kick the crud out of the Transformerscds Captain N DVD Menu. However if I post the images of what I was gonna put on my DVD menu on the forum where they posted their announcement of Captain N. It would also be nice if they said on the credits at the back box "DVD menu created by kirbyblue".

I doubt they would. But if they did, they'd have to use that sound byte of Kevin's mom saying "Kevin, you better not be playing that silly videogame, you have homework and chores to do!"

    Um, guys,

Bad news about this. You might want to read this here from what I dug up. It's from DVDInsider (the producer of these) from the Captain N forums & this is what he said about the 2nd volume of SMBSS & Captain N:

    http://forum.captainn.net/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1137610373/167#167

    "Sobering news, guys...

We're having problems with some of the broadcast masters for SMBSS2.  Right now, it's look like there might be unavoidable issues with a few episodes, which means, sadly, we might have to jettison them from the set.  As it stands now, expect anywhere between 23 and all 28 episodes on this release and know that I-- as well as everyone else involved-- am doing everything I can to make sure we get 'em all.  Sometimes, you just hit an iceberg that sinks the unsinkable.

As for the Captain, there has been no word of a greenlight.  Personally, as fun as it's been working on Captain N, I'm not upset over the lack of progress.  I've been neck-deep in work with SMBSS2, Sabrina: the Animated Series, and six individual classic b-horror films hosted by Elvira.  All of which are being released in October.  My plate's full.  But as soon as those are done, I'd expect some word on the return of Captain N.

I'll keep you guys up to date."

There you have it. We probably may never be able to get all 28 episodes of that, & we may not get Captain N at all. It seems that they have some licensing problems of those or something.

Maybe we might get Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog on DVD, except it'll be released by 4Kids Entertainment, because all profits will go towards the production of Sonic X Season 4. But then again, that's another DiC show, and Captain N: The Game Master consists of characters from not only Nintendo, but also Konami, Capcom, and OTHER game companies!

So the only way to have Captain N at all would be to have someone create a new series for us, and 4Kids Entertainment would be the only ones capable of tackling that task! And the only way to keep any other companies out of it is to replace Simon and MegaMan with Samus Aran, as depicted in Metroid Prime.
Zero Suit Samus - Here's Zero Suit Samus. And to keep those Kid Icarus fans happy, they might as well include Pit, as he looks in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
This is Pit - And it would only have Nintendo-based Worlds. No Capcom, no Konami, and definitely no Snake! Snake? Snake! SNAAAAAAAKE!

Those are some nice pictures of those. But I'm worried if they'll ever have brand new Mario & Captain N cartoons, I am so gonna puke. Don't believe me? Look at how they managed to resurrect Sonic with Sonic Underground & Sonic X (Especially the English version. Bleah!).  I liked the SatAM one, & The Adventures Of  much better than those other two.

I hated Sonic X but I actually liked Sonic Underground, sure it was suppossed to be based off of Sonic Adventure(one of the best Sonic games in about six years)but it as still better than nothing.

We finally have an official release date, but it has been postponed until February 13, 2007. It is going to be 4 discs, but it doesn't say how many episodes will be included. http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=6419

Wow. That's gonna be amazing! If I get Volume 2 of SMBSS, and BOTH Volumes of Captain N: The Game Master, maybe I can try my hand at making a special case for the Mario and Captain N DVDs (including Super Mario World, New Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, and The Super Mario Bros. Super Show), as well as The Legend of Zelda, and have it say "Nintendo Animation System," with screens from all four shows, and my own tagline:

"Now You're Playing With Power. ANIMATED Power!"
