In this episode, as in many throughout the third season (possibly due to the change in hands of animation), Captain N's power pad is drawn rather poorly, looking nothing like an actual Nintendo power pad. For example, in close-ups in this episode, the two circular B and A buttons are drawn atop each other, rather than side-by-side like they should be.
And for another, Prince John is the head of Nottingham's villains in this episode. In the Robin Hood game, as in the movie it was based on, the Sheriff is the head honcho of the villains and Prince John is not to be found.
If this game was based on Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, not much work went into coordinating the game and the episode based on it. For instance, there are no magical arrows with special properties in the game, like the one that turns into a bubble to save Maid Marian from her fall.
This season of Captain N the Game Master was aired along side Super Mario World under the title:Captain N and the New Super Mario World.
The only appearence of Robin hood.
Episode released in Australia on DVD titled: Super Mario World Volume 1. Later released in the US on DVD titled Captain N and the New Super Mario World.
The episode is based on Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy Color.
