Nightmare on Mother Brain's Street
AIRED:
In her secret lair within the frightful world of Metroid, Mother Brain asks a question to her all-knowing Computer Mind Mirror...who's the most fairest of them all? The Computer Mind Mirror says that Princess Lana is the most beautiful of them all and she has Eggplant Wizard to make a poison apple that'll make Princess Lana fall asleep. When this works, Princess Lana is warped to Excalibur, the land of Wizards and Warriors. Kevin, Simon, and Duke head there to rescue her. They're told that they can rescue Lana if they fall asleep, so they each take a bite of the apple. Meanwhile, back at the palace, Kid Icarus and Mega Man are also given apples and are warped to Excalibur. In their dreams, which are actually their nightmares come true, Kevin suggests that they fall asleep to wake up in their own world. It works. The N Team goes back to the Palace and they put Mother Brain and her servents to sleep.moreless

    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • When Lana eats the apple and disappears through a warp in the ground, Kevin's feet disappear.

      • When Kevin says, "A Plus, Mother Brain!" near the end of the episode, the N on his jacket is missing.

      • The key Simon and Kevin get from the frog/rat monster is supposedly green. It's actually yellow. Also, as Kevin says, there are no green keys in Wizards and Warriors (blue, red and pink but no green), so how come there is in this episode?

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Simon: Stand back. Simon Belmont will take care of this deadly beast!(pulls a golf club out of his backpack and prepares to hit the lizard)
Kevin: Wait a minute! Don't you think that's the wrong weapon for the job?
Simon: You're absolutely right! (flings the golf club away, pulls out a rocket launcher, and points it at the lizard)
Kevin: Get real, will you, Simon?

      • Simon: You couldn't even wake up a frog with a kiss like that!

      • Mother Brain: What's the matter? Don't you like fairy tales? You remember this one. The beautiful princess eats the poisoned apple and falls into a deep sleep. And the handsome prince - ha! I suppose that's you - has to wake her out of the spell.
Kevin: It's also the one where the prince destroys the ugly witch, isn't it?
        Eggplant Wizard: That's the one!
Mother Brain: Shut up, you mental midget!

      • Kevin: I learned this recipe from my uncle Lenny back in New York. Trust me princess, this is gonna be the coolest thing you ever tasted.
Lana: What exactly is a pizza?
Kevin: Oh, this is no ordinary pizza, it's a Captain N Special. N for "nuts", N for "nectarines", N for "nachos"... (Duke grabs the pizza.) And N for "No"!
(Duke runs and Kevin chases him.)
Lana: I think you better rename it the Duke Special.

      • Mother Brain: I will be the most beautiful woman in VideoLand! And you, Eggplant Wizard, are going to help me do it.
        Eggplant Wizard: M-m-m-me?
Mother Brain: Yes, you! You can start by making me an apple!
Eggplant Wizard: Uh, ah, whatever you say, Mother Brain. Magic words with which I grovel, make this brain a big juicy apple!
(He turns Mother Brain into an apple.)
Mother Brain: You idiot! I don't want to be an apple! I want to have an apple!
Eggplant Wizard: Cool off, Mother Brain, or you'll became a baked apple! I can turn a princess to a pumpkin, a prince to a ham on rye; turning you back to normal is as easy as apple pie!
(He turns Mother Brain into an apple pie. She grabs Eggplant Wizard and shakes him.)
King Hippo: Hey! You look pretty tasty, Mother Brain! Can I have a slice?
Mother Brain: Shut up and change me back!
