The Planeteers are vacationing on a cruise, where they meet Trevor, a big game hunter. Linka, totally misunderstanding Trevor's reasoning for enjoying hunting, takes an immediate disliking to him. They soon discover that Greedly is running a bogus "hunting" business, where tamed animals are being used (and slaughtered) to allow his clients to enjoy the ultimate hunting experience. The Planeteers and Captain Planet are captured, but Trevor comes to the rescue and helps turn the tables on Greedly.moreless
  • This episode deals with one of the ultimate forms of animal injustice: canned hunting! Captain Planet and the Planeteers must find a way to stop it!

Hunting has always been a balancing game between how much food is needed for people, and how many animals need to live to ensure a continued stable food supply for human population. But in this modern age, where greed and excess pollute the spoiled minds of certain people, there are those who are used to getting what they want whenever they want it. But instead of taking the initiative to try to do their own hunting, they demand to have some 'real' sport by participating in a canned hunt, where all the animals can be shot and no creature leaves the game alive; which is nothing short of cruelty and torture for the wildlife being hunted. This episode wisely states that there's nothing wrong with hunting in the wild where people actually pit their survival skills in nature if its once in a while, but its inhumane to have a canned hunt where an animal is subjected to be killed without a fighting chance of escaping a grisly death. Thankfully, with the help of Captain Planet, the Planeteers turn the tables on the canned hunters and turn them into the canned hunted! It is only then that the truth comes out that no animal or human wants to be a part of a canned hunt, and the only good canned hunt, is the canned hunt that nobody participates in. This is another really good episode that I highly recommend for people who want to learn whether or not animals have feelings, and let me just say, that there is a good chance that for a good number of people who watch this episode; they'll find out the truth that animals feel the same basic emotions that all humans do. Enough said, true believers! ;)moreless
