There's obviously some confusion regarding the gender of Klek-Torr:
------------------------------
Mohan: Where did SHE come from?
------------------------------
Ma-Ti: Where did HE go?
------------------------------
Wheeler: (to Gaia) I didn't know you could speak HIS language. What did HE say?
------------------------------
Greedly: Y-y-yes s-s-uh-sir, uh, m-m-ma-uh-ma'am, uh-uh....it.
This was never made clear during the episode.
Gaia: Thanks for being bringing back my Planeteers, Klet-Torr.
Klek-Torr: It was a rare pleasure, Gaia. Most of my animals don't have a home to return to.
Gaia: And one more thing, I'd rather you leave these two as well.
(Klek-Torr releases Blight and Greedly from the force field)
Klek-Torr: Now, you two behave yourselves.
Greedly: Y-y-yes s-s-uh-sir, uh, m-m-ma-uh-ma'am, uh-uh....it.
Blight: Uhh, whatever you say.
For the first time in the series, it's revealed that the Planeteers' ring powers are in tune with the Earth, and therefore, should they venture into space, they can neither utilize their abilities nor summon Captain Planet.
Captain Planet's entrance when summoned: Lava effects. This is actually stock footage from the 1st season episodes Beast of the Temple and Ozone Hole.
Planeteer Alert #1: Protecting endangered species by preserving their natural habitat. Planeteer Alert #2: Cut down on buying certain products to prevent an animal from being killed.
In syndication, this was the 5th episode of the 2nd season following Send in the Clones.
This entire episode alludes to Noah's Ark. The alien, Klek-Torr, gathers (or has gathered) samples of all the endangered species before they become extinct, so he can take them to a new world and begin a new civiliization, just like Noah's intentions were.
