The Score: Spectrum destroys the Mysteron base. Spectrum: 14 Mysterons: 3.
Mysteron Reconstructions: Frazer (unknown/still at large on the moon).
Spectrum Losses: None.
Collateral Damage: 1 Mysteron complex sans crystal pulsator.
When Captain Scarlet suddenly floats upward and out of sight, Captain Blue yells after him. He seems to have forgotten that they're communicating by radio, and yelling is unnecessary.
When Frazer brings the bomb to the crater, the close-up shot shows it dangling straight down between the pronged grip. In long shots, the bomb and the grip are sticking out at an angle, in line with the carrying pole.
In one shot of the Moonmobile, it does not have the pod between it's legs that contains the Lunar Tractor.
The names of the two new lunar vehicles seem to have been confused and switched. The Lunar Tank, driven by Frazer, has a mechanical arm for lifting and carrying, while the Lunar Tractor, driven by Captain Blue, is armed with a missile cannon. The names would suit the other vehicle better.
At one point, the Mysteron Frazer calls Nolan, a citizen of Lunarville 6 on the Moon, an "Earth woman".
Colonel White says that the Mysteron complex on the Moon must "be destroyed as soon as possible", which is presumably why it's taken six episodes for them to get around to it.
For some reason during the briefing with Colonel White, Captain Scarlet brings his own stool intead of sitting on one of the retractable ones from around the Colonel's desk like everyone else. Even with Green and Blue sat on one each, there were still four to choose from.
Lieutenant Green: Do I get a coconut? Captain Scarlet: Lieutenant, if we get out of this, I'll buy you all the coconuts you can eat!
The on screen title card actually reads "Crater I0I", as the font used, Microgramma Bold Extended, makes the number '1' look like a '7'. The change was made for clarity and would be repeated in "Flight 104".
The Lunar Tank started life as a vehicle at the Dover missile base in Thunderbird 6.
The set used to represent the cockpit of the Moonmobile in this episode and "Lunarville 7" was created from the old Thunderbird 4 cockpit used in Thunderbirds. In publicity shots of the band Spectrum and the miniture set, TB4's yellow side inlet pods were still attached and are clearly visible.
As Fraser's Lunar Tank leaves Lunarville 4, parts of the base can be seen to be made from parts of the Mini-Sat 5 from "Shadow of Fear" and the Frost Line Command Base domes from "Avalanche".
This episode is the one of two sequels to the first of a continuing 3-part story arc, which "Lunarville 7" started and "Dangerous Rendezvous" concludes.
