This episode is a blast! It's a refreshing change from the usual much more serious storylines that dominate the rest of the series. The seriousness isn't a bad thing however as there's not a great deal of humour to be gleaned from a series involving aliens attacking the Earth and trying to destroy it. As the characters were under the influence of Mysteron spiked drink, the second time Spectrum officers have been, or nearly been, killed by Champaign, it doesn't really affect them in the long run as it's clearly not them. I really liked that Captain Ochre, one of the best characters, got a lot to do and some good lines. Of course, his conversations with Blue in the plane are funny. Something of note is that every main character appears here, although some don't speak, and we get see them all drunk at their stations later on. Another good thing, is only the second appearance of Colonel White's hat. That doesn't happen often.

Hilarious episode and the Mysterons half win as well.
  • Dr Strangelove - the puppet version!

The Mysterons announce they intend to destroy Atlantica...however, unbeknowst to Spectrum, their drinks to celebrate their first anniversary are drugged and so Captains Blue and Ochre are \'bombs away\' to Atlantica...The Angels are useless as they\'re too busy flying silly and so it\'s left to Captain Scarlet and Colonel White to prevent their own...

    NOTES:

I liked the jingle at the end.

Blue and Ochre being drunk was funny - the Mysterons are so clever.

Captain Black comes face to face with Blue and Ochre and exchanges flight plans with them. Being smacked of their man-nipples, Blue and Ochre are non the wiser...hee-hee :-D
