Episode Summary

We Still Have No Bananas (2)
Things do not get any better for the Space Monkeys so they take to the air, but their inexperience, and the fact that their ship is designed for humans, results in their initial defeat. It doesn't help when Gor breaks the Orbitron either! Simian sends the others back to earth via a wormhole, but they screw up and get lost in time and space. They return only moments later to rescue Simian from certain death and reveal that they were forced to re-live the '70s! Now, with their monkey-customized ship, operating as an experienced team, under a capable leader...they'll be lucky if they survive the episode!moreless

      • Spydor: (about Nebula) The guy is destroying the universe, to get glop?! That's the craziest thing I ever heard.
Orbitron: This old man, he played one, he played knick-knack on my thumb...
Spydor: I take it back. That is the craziest thing I ever heard!

      • Nebula: I am Nebula. Give me the anti-force, and die.
Spydor: Uh, isn't that supposed to be "or die"?

      • Spydor: What in the monkey-loving universe is that?
Captain Simian: That must be Nebula's ship.
Dr. Splitz: Readings indicate it is absorbing an advertent flow of molecular matter.
Splitzy: In other words, it sucks!

      • Captain Simian: (about Rhesus 2) That monkey is out of his head.
Spydor: As long as he stays out of mine!

      • Rhesus 2: Well, well, well, well. You're all very agile - for fleshopods.
Spydor: Nobody calls me a fleshopod! Nobody, ever! What's a fleshopod?

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (3)

      • Captain Simian: (to Shao Lin) You're going though that wormhole, cause if you don't, you'll regret it. Maybe not now, but soon.

This is a paraphrase of Humphrey Bogart's parting speech to Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca.

      • Orbitron: Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer true...

This is a reference to the end of the film 2001: A Space Odyssey; When the insane computer Hal 9000 is shut down, he sings the same song.

      • Rhesus 2: I'm singing, with my brain!

This is a parody of the musical Singing In The Rain.
