Captain Star

Show Summary

This could possibly be one of the greatest, most silliest cartoons of our time....of ALL time! Take a look and meet Jones, Sputnik, Nav. Black, 1st Officer Scarlet, & last but not least, the hero, Capt. Star. Other characters like the 3-eyed bounty hunter Jasper quilt, Phony pilot, Bloater (Bladder, Blister, What was his name?), & even A Teddy Bear army add humour & adventure to each episode!. "And they thought that I was dead, But I came out with a multiplied head.... Nine heads in all !!!" Bios Captain Star- One of the greatest heroes of ALL time & a universally known character of justice. He is the leader of the "Boiling Hell" crew & has accomplished thousands of missions such as the famous "29 captain's rescue". He awaits his orders from Mission control to this very day hoping that he will battle across the galaxy.......once again. 1st Officer Scarlet- An excellent professor of biology & a great officer aswell (Hence, The name). She has the skill to become Captain & almost did when Captain Star's birthday was changed & he was close to resigning. Atomic Stoker Limbs Jones- One time, when the crew was about to be sucked into a sun, Jones worked hard in powering the engines with atomic fuel when he realized they needed to harness the power of a small sun. Because of it's large size, Jones was pushed into the boiler but instead of getting killed, he became a 9 headed, 6 armed mutant. He has become a very useful member of the crew, but sometimes his heads can be a problem for getting on peoples nerves!. Navigator Black- An expert in all types of fish but kind of clumsy in Navigating (which, he is a Navigator!). When he was an infant, he was seperated from from his twin brother to which he doesn't know what happened to.moreless

  • One of the greatest most underrated cartoons of all time!

    10
I absolutely loved this show, based on the cartoons of Steven Appleby. Richard E. Grant and Adrian (Young Ones/Bottom) Edmondson lent their voices to this terrific, satirical sci-fi cartoon, that Futurama fans would love! Produced at Cosgrove Hall studios, the show sadly aired during a children's block in the UK, and Captain Star simply wasn't a children's show. It's witty satire and bizarre plots were far better suited to an evening slot. Repeat showings have been few and far between too - a great shame, as this could have become a cult classic. I'm hoping for dvd releases in the future, but it seems unlikely.moreless
  • Brilliance. Absolute brilliance. I haven't seen such performances on tv since the time...I can't even envision a time when I had so much fun watching this Captain Star.
