Having Li being controlled to hurt Sakura was something that involved a lot of detail. Kero never really trusted Li, and Sakura, despite competing with him, always protects her friends. Even when Li was attacking her, she never gave up on him. He was calling at her to leave, which also shows he doesn't want her to get hurt.
It also included one of those quite amusing scenes when Kero and Li bicker around like little kids although Li is a really mature and serious boy.
The ending was very interesting, having Sakura fall into Li's arms with exhaustion. It was a bit on the romantic side, and gave a foreshadow of what'll happen in the later episodes. The scene with Eli was dark and mysterious, but also gave the next episode a must-watch.
Overall, the episode was very complex in emotions, thrilling, and fantastic!
