Ah, yes. Homework. Always a fun thing to do on the last day of holidays.
We start off with Sakura sitting at her desk finishing the last bit of her homework on the last day. Just when she thinks she\'s done, she sees she has yet to do her math, workshop, and book report. Resolving to do the math at the library with Tomoyo, Sakura gets her brother Toya to finish her birdhouse for several chore shifts.
Once at the library, who else do Sakura and Tomoyo meet but Li? He is also here to finish his book report, and both had unknowingly chosen the same book. Sakura and Tomoyo do their math, letting Li finish so he can give the book to Sakura, only when Li\'s back was turned, the book disappeared!
Sakura, Tomoyo, Li, and Kero-chan all search all over the library, crawling on top of shelves. In more than one instance, the book was found, only to disappear again moments later.
Kero-can finally deduces that this is a Card: The Move. This makes the search even more frantic: both Sakura and Li need the book for their book report, and to capture the Card!
The chase continues outside, where the book has Moved to a bicycle. Sakura chases after it, and it again disappears. Li and Tomoyo catch up to Sakura, when the book appears again. Both Li and Sakura lunge for it, but miss as it disappears again. This happens many times as the book escapes each time.
Exhausted and out of breath, yet still determined, Sakura stands up to look for it again. It is at this moment that Kero-chan realizes something: Sakura\'s magical powers have matured, and she might be able to sense the Card\'s presence. Li is adamant, but Sakura closes her eyes and tryies not to think of anything.
Time passes. Kero-chan watches over Sakura with a curious look on his face; maybe she can\'t sense it? However, Sakura sees in her mind the book and her eyes fly open. She releases the Key and, chanting the incantation needed, swings it down to catch the book just as it\'s reappearing. The Move is captured.
However, Sakura looks down. She\'s hovering over the lake. Li jumps down and tries to catch her, but fails. She flings the book up to Tomoyo and, with a magnificent splash, falls into the water.
Later, at Li\'s house, Sakura has changed into an old shirt of Li\'s. Said boy comes in from the next room and hands the book over, having finished the report. He freezes as he sees the shirt Sakura is wearing. Meanwhile, outside, a taxi has just dropped out a girl wearing cute Chinese clothes carrying luggage. This black-haired pigtailed kid appears to be the same age as our heroes, and a suspicion is confirmed when she tears open Li\'s door and hugs him. The girl is all smiles until she sees Sakura. Then she closely resembles a volcano as she yells at Li.
And thus, we meet another character: Li Meilin, Li\'s cousin from Hong Kong. We can tell already that she can be the cause of hilarity and increased tension in between Li and Sakura, as she suspects something may be going on between the two. Only knowing her for barely two minutes, we viewers are given a cliff-hanger. What happens next?!
I\'ve watched this episode and re-watched it, and the part I most look forward to the most is the end. I mainly like this episode because of the stretch in Sakura\'s magic. She has gone from relying on Kero-chan to tell whether something was a Card or wondering at every strange thing, to finding the Card herself. That\'s what I think makes this series different from the rest. Each episode matters, as Sakura grows emotionally and magically in each one. Kero-chan\'s more and more frequent comments throughout that Sakura\'s current level of magic has leaped again stands out more and more to us viewers. We realize that yes, she sealed this Card without direct intervention by Kero-chan or Li! You go, girl!
