Cardcaptor Sakura

Eriol stands on the temple gate above Sakura, Shaoran, Kero, and Tomoyo, and he reveals that he is the reincarnation of Clow Reed! Souppy and Akizuki arrive. Eriol speaks in a low voice, holds out his key, and it transforms to a staff. He chants the RELEASE spell. He transforms Souppy to Spinel Sun, and Akizuki to Ruby Moon!

Sakura ponders that this is just like her dream. Kero recognizes the staff as Clow's, and asks Clow why he is troubling Sakura so much, but Clow responds he'll know soon enough. Clow casts a spell that blots out both the sun and the moon. Tomoyo faints! As Yue and Touya race to the shrine, the spell hits them and Touya collapses powerlessly. The entire town has fallen asleep. Shaoran drops to a knee but stays awake. Sakura wants to know why he's doing this. Clow replies he intended everyone to sleep but Sakura has gotten stronger. Eriol explains the challenge. Sakura must use magic to break the darkness using her abilities before dawn breaks, or the people in the city will continue to sleep forever!

Spinel Sun shoots some darts at Sakura but Kero transforms and shields the group. They fight it out with fire blasts, but Spinel Sun is able to overpower Keroberos and knock him back. Ruby Moon fires a blast at Sakura but Yue arrives at the last moment and shields them. Yue asks Clow about his Yukito form and why he had to reincarnate, but now it's time for Ruby Moon to act. She fires red particles at Yue and then rushes in for some slashes as Yue blocks and flies up. Ruby Moon remarks how the guardians are linked to their master's powers, implying Sakura's is weak. Kero refuses to believe that and rises up to stand next to Yue.

The two guardian pairs face each other when Sakura tells them to stop fighting. She tells Shaoran to take care of Tomoyo and then asks Clow why he's doing this since Clow and Eriol have helped her out so much until now. Clow responds that Sakura must defeat the spell first for the answer. Clow activates the staff and fires a beam at Sakura. Sakura activates SHIELD to block it, and then uses JUMP to approach Clow, but he fires back with more beams and knocks her back. As she falls, Shaoran calls his WIND card to cushion her from hitting the ground. Li falls to his knees again. Clow reminds Sakura to defeat the spell to save everyone.

Sakura activates WINDY to try to contain Clow, but he easily knocks her aside. He fires another beam and Sakura uses FLY and approaches Clow, but she catches fire from the barrage of Clow's beam attacks and falls to the ground. Keroberos and Yue attack, and rush past Ruby Moon and Spinel Sun to help Sakura.

Sakura stands up and sees that all the Sakura cards are circling her and are worried about her. Sakura notices she still has a few untransformed cards as Yue and Keroberos arrive. Maybe one of the cards will enable her to wake everyone up. She throws the eight cards in the air, and transforms a whole bunch of them at once. But two of the cards have not changed: the LIGHT and the DARK. Keroberos says LIGHT and DARK are the first cards under jurisdiction. Sakura says to herself that light must be the way to break the darkness. She throws LIGHT in the air and tries to transform it but nothing happens! Yue and Keroberos approach Sakura. Kero tells Sakura that LIGHT and DARK must be transformed together, and offer to help her out by having the staff absorb their magic powers, but that means absorbing their entire beings. Sakura cries as she doesn't want to lose her guardian friends. Yue responds that she should do it to save her friends and that it'll be alright. Sakura agrees and holds out her staff, absorbing Keroberos and Yue. The staff transforms and she throws both LIGHT and DARK into the air to try to transform them. The cards slowly transform from the bottom up but then the level lowers. Sakura tries harder and the power pushes the transformation upwards but then it goes downward again. Oh no! As she is about to drop the staff, Shaoran grabs the staff with Sakura. As a descendent of Reed, he is going to help and use his magic powers too. They both concentrate on transforming the cards, and a large surge of power arises, transforming the final two cards. Sakura calls LIGHT and she fills the sky with light and daytime again!

Clow remarks that it's finally over. Shaoran falls to the ground. Sakura thanks him. Then Kero and Yue return out of the staff. Sakura thanks them too. Tomoyo wakes up and Sakura checks with her. Touya is still asleep but will wake up soon. Clow descends and says it's over; all the cards are Sakura cards now. The cards surround her and she smiles. She holds out her hand and they gather. They are all the cards she has transformed. Clow smiles happily. Kero wants to know why Clow caused all that trouble but he has already departed.

Yue and Keroberos give chase and Sakura follows but Li stops her. He has something to say to her. He confesses to Sakura that he loves her!
