Aired Weekdays 1:00 PM Mar 21, 1986 on ABC

  • Trivia

    • The animals/things that Dark Heart transformed into were: a sea serpent, a rattle snake, a fox, a wolf, a frog (twice), a turtle, a gorilla, an alligator (twice), a spider, a tornado, a smoke cloud, and a teenage boy.

    • During the scene when everyone is swimming in the river, Grumpy Bear is shown in swimsuit and naked in between shots.

    • It is learned in this movie that the Care Bear family were adopted by True Heart and Noble Heart from an orphanage.

    • When the Care Bears and the four children wave good-bye to each other towards the end, Dark Heart has gray hair, when, as a good boy, he's supposed to have red hair.

    • We never see baby Treatheart or adult Cozyheart.

    • The first of two Care Bears movies to feature Harmony Bear as a character (the recent "Big Wish Movie" being another). Her only appearance in the 1980s series was in its "Great Race" episode.

    • At the end of the movie when all the care bears go swimming at the lake, wearing "Bikini styled swim suits".

At one point Nobleheart and Braveheart decide to throw Swiftheart into the lake wearing there swim suits.

A brief few seconds during the throwing shot, they get naked again as there swim suits magically disappear a goof or they set a new undressing speed record.

    • This movie is out of continuity with the first one. In the first movie, the Care Bears meet the Cousins for the first time. But in this movie, they have all known each other since they were cubs and all grew up together.

    • In the "Our Beginning" sequence, look closly, and you'll see Proudheart Cat has her emblem on her tummy. The only problem is, none of them are supposed to have their emblems yet.

    • In one scene, Swift Heart Rabbit is grey, when she's supposed to be blue.

    • After Noble Heart says "This time, it might be Dark Heart", in the next scene the Little Star & Heart Buddies switch colors. Didn't occur to me 'til now but in that scene the Little Star Buddy looks a lot like Patrick Star of "SpongeBob SquarePants".

    • Proudheart Cat is supposed to be girl but in movie she is a boy.

  • Quotes

  • Notes

    • Introduces True Heart Bear and Noble Heart Horse, the caretakers to the Bears and Cousins.

    • Correction: Cozy Heart Penguin is shown as an adult in this movie.

    • Treatheart Pig does not appear in this movie. Cozyheart Penguin is seen as a baby, but not as an adult. Proundheart Cat is refered to as a he and in the series as a she.
