  • Care Bears Turns into Barney Music Video!

    1.5
This episode starts out promisingly with Hugs, Tugs and Brave Heart in front of the malfunctioning caring meter, but things quickly get out of hand when country singer Songfellow Strum shows up with his train. At this point, the episode devolves into prime fodder for toddlers who can't get enough of children's rhymes or songs. Most critics have called the Care Bears childish, but episodes in the earlier seasons of this show balanced out potential cutesiness with appropriate edge and malice from villains such as No Heart. Here, this episode is like an extensive Barney music video, and not at all like a Care Bears episode. Even the lesser "Care Bears' Nutcracker Suite" and the mediocre "Adventure in Wonderland" are more watchable and enjoyable than this.moreless
