    DANG
i was just watching the 3rd ep of 2nd season when i started to wonder about this series...cause im "new" to it... bought the 1st season without knowing anything but that the credits were amazing... and they were and i was trapped in a carnivale van... so i wondered... "how many seasons did this series get to?" and I came in to check (and finally add it to my shows cause i just hadnt thought about it haha) and im so sad to discover its already my last season and that it was awfully cancelled!

is there any way we can get it back???

its a shame that the greatest shows in story and production... get cut well... no use crying now huh.... better just enjoy the rest of it and come over to see if anyone has any news on it haha or just to comment on the eps i am just watching huh?

LETS ALL YELL FOR THEM TO BRING IT BACK!!! at least one more season!!! no matter that 2 years have past!! new fans and old fans will follow!!!

    peace, out

Most of the stars have moved to other projects (Clancy Brown was seen in Lost). In checking HBO's site, the management said they were content with the way it ended and had no plans on bringing it back.

Yes, I agree, it was a great show and it was getting very interesting. I wanted to see if Sophie ever discovered that Justin was her father. But then I was very disappointed when she joined Justin's household as a maid - but in a way it did make sense. I also wondered if she could be carrying Ben's child as well?

    We will never know....

Sophie doing Heroes now, so I doubt she'd want to come back. I wish they would, but I am doubtful that the show will make a return.

Just accept that it isn't coming back and enjoy it for what it was.

Well, I think hope is still held out that it will return at some point... And most of the principals don't have regular series.

Clea Duvall was only doing a guest spot on "Heroes" and most of the rest are doing films here and there.

Only a third of the way through the story, I know they hoped they could finish it someday. Clancy Brown fought long and hard to try to get the show a new home.

While I know the series is dead and gone, why not resurrect it as a TV movie, or better yet, a feature film? Hey, Twin Peaks did it. That would be great, and since it would be a one-shot deal, I bet most of the cast would be willing to return for it. It's not that I didn't enjoy the final episode (all 24 episodes rocked!), I just got the feeling that the real story was just getting started. The movie, like the series would surely become a cult classic!

    Don't think so. http://www.tv.com/carnivale/show/11443/hbo-suggested-a-2-hour-movie-to-bring-closure-but/topic/6309-157592/msgs.html?tag=board_topics;title;4

This is just another example of "ratings" that rely on 1Neilsen Household that represents 100,000 viewers. How can a rural household represent a urban one? How can so few dictate what so many want? Someday hopefully we will have a voice in what we want to see.. Good examples Deadwood, Carnivale, and so many more we wanted to continue but didn't because of the chosen few.

Farscape, MST3K, Arrested Development, etc. etc.

But nothing hurts deeper than the cancellation of Carnivale. And no show will ever reach those heights.

finally finished the second season. and im so glad i gave it the proper ending in my mind. Of course i wouldve been so happy to have a third season or even the 6 i read that were planned but Im happy with the ending. It brings a little bit of clousure yet a bit of a cliffhanger too...

i insist. the most awesome show.
