Carol Burnett and Friends

Tim Conway stole the show! Carol is brilliant! I was in love with Vicki and Harvey filled in the rest. I was very young when this came on (11 when it stopped) and I got most of it. I understand that the cast enjoyed themselves as well. Everyone here were great actors. I just can't help but remember how dumb Tim played most of the time. The guy must have a strong feeling/confidence about himself. I have heard interviews in the past on comedians being influenced by this show. When I see comics like these people, I wonder what their personal life is like. Do they drive people nuts or people die laughing being in the front row of their life?moreless

at the time this was one of the funniest tv variety show on the air. tim conway and harvey corman were hillarious. this show was the precursor to mama's family. which started as a skit on this show. it went on in syndication for years. i am suprised that this show is not replayed on nick at night.

I can't believe I actually enjoyed this! It's like one of life's guilty pleasures. You know you're not supposed to enjoy it that much but you can't help enjoying it. I can't believe I'm typing this but long live Carol Burnett and Friends. You have one more (secret) supporter here!

Carol was one of my inspirations for being a female comedian! She basically came out and said: "Hey, women can be funny too without being weird!" I think that it's hilarious in every scene when the gang breaks into laughter, especially Harvey and Tim. TIm would do something so outrageous that Harvey just lets it out, literally. I love the Nazi scene, the old movies, the Family (a.k.a. Mama!), and Miss Wiggums. We need more shows like Carol Burnette and Friends and less shows like Nick and Jessica.moreless
