- Richard: Where are you going? Caroline: Up to the tower to ring some bells. This is a reference to Quasimodo, the main character from the novel "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" by the french author Vicor Hugo. Quasimodo was born with physical deformities (for example the infamous hump).
